  1. The main motor is a 115 hp merc and the kicker is a merc. I'll have to check to make sure the connections are the same. Might have been thinking too much.
  2. Thanks for the tip rolmops
  3. Yes, PM sent
  4. I second the mid January end date as Roys requested.
  5. Appreciate the help jlogger!
  6. Looking for access to the main lake. Have a 18' lowe. How much clearance is there at the bridge? Does anyone know if the bay is ice free or launch is open?
  7. I've got a new to me boat that looks to me has an additional gas port. It's not hooked up but I'd like to run a line from my tank to my kicker if it's what the extra port is for. I've posted some pics below to help explain. Correct me if this isn't what the extra port is meant for. How would I go about running an additional line to my kicker? Just put a "T" in for the line that runs to the main motor or am i over simplifying things? Any help is appreciated.
  8. Just wondering if you guys do anything specific with the leftover line on the weight retreivers when trolling? Do you just cut the excess? I have 3-4 ft leftover when the ball is at 90°. Any help is appreciated.

  10. Thats how we did it for some of the net surveys for region 6 dec if the two couldnt be distinquished. Some of the lakes had splake and brook trout. Only real way to tell.
  11. I say, way to go. I'm sure there's plenty more where that came from. Bass looks legal to me. I love catching and releasing. Feels great to watch a fish swim away after catching. I know one thing. My son would want me to keep those as he's adamant about catching and cooking. Been teaching him if you catch it and let it go you can catch it again someday or someone else can. If you catch it once and keep it you better use it. Work in progress with him. He'll def understand when he's older. Those are brookies. Plump brookies. You'll see some good pictures of splake in the picture section to compare to. The brookies in this post have square tails. The pictures of splake in the picture section have forked tails like a laker.
  12. Fish 2 and 3 from the top are def brookies. Nice!
  13. Ice fished Canadice sat evening out from the launch for smelt. Ice was about 8" thick. Started in about 80 ft not knowing what to expect. Didnt mark much of anything then moved into 20 ft. Had marks all night. Only landed a perch. Used hali jigs with 1-2 small flies rigged above (size 12-16). Water was stained from the recent runoff and snowmelt. Hoping to try it again. Read past reports of ppl catching quite a few. Had some light taps on the line but never connected. Will have to try tiny spike pieces on small bare hooks next time instead of flies. Hopefully water is clearer next time. Any other suggestions?
  14. Reeltrout, my son and I were thinking of going to oneida at some point soon. We even got permission from the boss (wife) to play hooky from work/school. Any suggestions for access? Where did you go out of if you don't mind me asking? North shore or south? Had a couple spots in mind but wasn't sure how parking is. Looks like chapman is quick access to deeper water. Any help is appreciated.
  15. Anyone have any ice reports from Canadice?
  16. Is this still available?
  17. It sure does suck balls but these are gonna be delicious 😋
  18. Had 2 similar experiences there the last couple weekends. The fish gotta be there somewhere. Decided to hit up a couple different lakes in the mean time.
  19. Wanted to update this past post as I was able to find what I needed from Cisco. They were able to accommodate my lowe with something similar to lund mounts. Picture below. Dave was great to work with eventhough my order wasn't very big. Def recommend cisco to anyone. Also they're removable which is great for when the family wants to enjoy the boat.
  20. Thanks for the update. How big was that fish?
  21. Caught plenty of brookies myself...nice Squaretail, muskie!
  22. Pm sent
  23. Are the eagle claw ones you speak of in the first picture? Also, do you ship?
  24. Mainly fish the finger lakes but ontario occasionally. Just getting into downriggers. Any that would be good for downrigger setups? Any help is appreciated.
