i have tried a couple times with no success but have had buddies catching them off the pier while i am out trolling. I think i might have been trolling a little fast. Good luck.
I went out on Monday and fished from the bay to hedges. You had a better day then we had. Never moved a rod and switched up several times. At least it was a nice day on the water.
I went out as well and the water temp was 34. Didn't turn a rod all the way to hedges. tried from 8-20 feet. I think the south wind pushed all the warm water out. At least the boat ran well. Now i need to fix the trailer light.
go to iceshanty.com. you can read the 146 page post on where and how the do things up there. If you are fsihing for perch i would suggest using smaller jigs up there. Woody's used to have a decent collection up there. They should have decent info on the pond up there as well. Good luck. there is normally a tourney up there most weekends.
Same here on the perch. Forgot the depth finders as well which didn't help things. Caught enough for dinner which was my goal. Perhaps the weather had them confused. All perch i cleaned had eggs in them.
Last I checked the bay is over 80 degrees. I would fish the drop offs by the ledges on the south east side. Early in the AM they the will be on top of the selves.
They were 2 weeks ago on the west side. Anything and everything you threw at them Some nice sizes as well. We were doing well on tubes fast retrieve. They are always out there, but they tend to move around a lot.
If you take the time and call the company you will understand they do not want anyone to fish the Quarry. They will give you permission to fish the creek on their side, but due to some unstable land they request that no one fish in the Quarry Please do not lose access for other that have taken the time to do the research.
If you find them let me know. I was out there last Saturday and found all the rock bass and perch you could want but not one small mouth. I have done well on them in the past on melon pepper tubes and jerk baits. I have trolled them out while messing around with surface stuff in the summer in 100 foot of water. Water temp was around 62 where i was. My guess is still on beds.
Are you talking North and South Sandy by Pulaski? If so a buddy was on south the other day said water level looked good. Caught a couple smallmouth. He didn't make it out to the North pond but said the channel has a lot of water in it.
buddy Launched his bass boat there last weekend. Said it was really really low. Be careful not to back off the end of the ramp. need to powerload to get it back on the trailer.
has anyone been to the State launch at Conesus recently? Just wondering if water is low, docks are in, if it is open ect. thinking about going this weekend.
Thanks
