  1. Sorry, I forgot it was posted here. Its sold.
  2. Let me round up a box and check shipping charges. I should be able to get back to you tomorrow. Mitch
  3. Still for sale...
  4. Lightweight aluminum climbing tree stand, only 15 lbs. Attached folding seat. Separate lightweight climbing aid. Barely used. $125 near Auburn, NY.
  5. Size is not an indication overall numbers. The south shore of Lake Ontario has never recovered its population from the 80s and 90s. That is directly related to the gobies. Also, the Smallmouth are still spawning in Cayuga, LO and SLR in June/early July. Many of these "big bags" are bedding fish! Including the big one caught in Cayuga a couple years ago. There are tons of recent studies on the impact of removing fish from beds, even temporarily during C&R tournements.
  6. NYS Crossbow Coalition is asking hunters to sign a letter to get Bill A2940 out of the ECON committee. I've attached the letter from the coalition with background on the bill and, the letter for hunters to sign. They ask you print, sign and include your address. I included my age, too! More information can be found on the NYS Crossbow Coalition webpage or FB page.
  7. I have a 25 hp with one and hate it. If you try to bump in and out of gear, it briefly increases rpms and speeds up. Also, it "misses neutral" if you twist the throttle too fast. I like a shifter, set the throttle where you need it then bump it in and out of gear as needed.
  8. Looking for a used 2015 or newer 15-20 hp long shaft electric start motor. Prefer Tohatsu, Nissan, Suzuki, Honda, or Yamaha. Mercury is ok if it Doesn't have to twist shift handle. Not interested in new motors.
  9. Just be aware a south wind is your enemy on LC in the Valcour Island area. A 15-20 kt wind can produce 3-4 footers pretty quickly. Keep and eye on the weather.
  10. There are tons of videos on the "pros" pre fishing for bedding fish. Just google "Lake Champlain bedding bass" or something similar. So what they do is find the beds, gps them, catch the bass, weigh them, then put them back and hit the beds again with the biggest bass during the tournament. A guy won it a couple years ago doing that. The 30 lb 5 fish bag a guy caught on Cayuga were all bedding fish. Below is a DEC link bragging about the opening of bass season. It may be a good place to voice your displeasure. https://www.facebook.com/NYSDEC/posts/pfbid02qQrRDWgQDm3eLvyFxDr6QwG7Rp5AC68mKN7nLUjVxawsygJrVCchfHw73MPTzSSHl?comment_id=281877874291461&reply_comment_id=2003374810022852&notif_id=1686965986228504&notif_t=feed_comment_reply&ref=notif
  11. Good time to move this to the top since there are bass still spawning this time of year. Sucks the DEC lets them be targeted.
  12. I get this is a fishing forum, but we all like the outdoors. These camps are good start for kids to learn about hunting, fishing, camping, etc. They can't get enough kids or adults to work at several of the camps! How sad, I wanted my grand kids to go to Colby, but it doesn't look like it will happen. If you have college kids or know someone here is a link for jobs. https://www.facebook.com/NYSDECsummercamps/
