  1. Nope, the other one that the Vanderbilt can't shoot
  2. This may come across as strange but if your home than don't you already know that western New york is covered in state lands that are ready for the taking. You might want to go to Stid hill, Rattlesnake hill, or better yet get your self a New york State Atlas & Gazzetteer and find out the closest hunting property. As a Fairport native my self you have to go south before you'll find anything but there's ALWAYS people on the WMA's . Don't think your going to be "Alone" opening day of deer season is a MADHOUSE. Steve
  3. Mr. Congel couldn't shoot this club even if he wanted to $$$$$ buys anything right. It's is between Savannah DHU and Montezuma. It takes that many $ (50K) to get on the waiting list and theirs a very limited membership. Already 4 or 5 waiting and until some one dies their not bringing any one new in.http://public.blu.livefilestore.com/y1p ... G?download
  4. In case you haven't seen this deer you might want to drool a little ..... a gold medal buck for sure.
  5. Been out 4 or 5 times and had go shoots on every trip. Even had the joy of hunting exclusive club just north of Montezuma and shot a 3 man limit of Blacks, Mallards and Pintails. Now it's time to put some fresh back straps in the freezer. Steve
  6. Ray you are something else alittle does in heat and run around the track at MD and he might just follow me home
  7. Just tell me he's not in the village and another SAFE monster that no one can touch.... from one fairport resident to another if you want him gone I'd be more than happy to feed him a Rage 2 blade from the porch or something
  8. High Bidder, A very knowledgeable coworker was the prop builder for Spinnelli Bros. and he walked me thru my prop buy. Every 2 inches of pitch should drop you about 200 rpms. hope this info helps alittle. Steve
  9. Mike, Why wait for it to lay down I just looked at the Bouy and she's rocking at 13.8' maybe the fish will be in the top 10'. We should be able to see them in the trough of each wave. Probably work some glo bugs on a 8 wt. and get them to take Steve
  10. Come on Gator, at least that time we had a TON of sharks swimming around off Braddocks . This year well I don't need to tell you. On a different note we could do 9.8' ers in the Lund.... just would have left the bilge on all the time Steve
  11. THANK YOU guys for a great event, I think we had a great turnout at the weigh in and it was nice to see a few of the faces that we only hear on the radio. Keith, Scott, and Rob well done gentleman. Hope for many more Steve
  12. Don't be so sensitive Shade, if someone reads the Regs. they are pretty straight forward. As far as the "daily derby" you already know it NEVER happened. Good luck in the Derby Steve
  13. Thanks for the report Scott, may the next 4 day magically disappear so we can go fishin again. Maybe I won't have any more technical difficulty's and those majors will start to co-operate for all of us. Steve
  14. Jim you have a PM , Sun. 3:40 PM Steve
  15. Todd, Don't really want to be a smart ass but why would the BOAT need to be entered ???? if there's no one on board can your boat catch fish all by it's self. Read the regs. ALL occupants on board MUST be registered unless their 10 years old or younger. Steve
  16. I'm was thinking of ordering a new one any way ! just didn't WANT to so soon
  17. Well done grasshopper, glad to hear someone had a decent AM Steve
  18. When I knocked off at 9:45 this AM the inside water had gotten even COLDER than when I left Sandy at 5:30. First thing had 48 down 40' and ended with 42 down 35' so hope everyone wants to go OFFSHORE in the AM. Good luck 500-600 was good from what I heard. Just not ready to go 12 miles offshore with T-Storms in the forecast. Steve
  19. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Triple S ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): 8/14 Time on Water:5:30-9:45 Weather/Temp: 65 cool Wind Speed/Direction: South Waves: < 2 Surface Temp: 70 Location: Sandy LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 1 Total Boated:1 Species Breakdown: Brown Hot Lure: Hot, get real 1 fish isn't hot. NBK took the fish Trolling Speed: 2.0 Down Speed: 2.25 Boat Depth: ???? Lure Depth: 40' ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Well lets summarize the trip with the stop at 40' because I wasn't getting any depth from the Lowrance. Put my hand on the transducer and realize the BOTTOM of it is not there !!! WTF, top looks fine but nothing under it. Rely on Moor for speed/temp only to find 2 of the paddles on wheel got broke in storage so who knows how accurate that was either. Should have stayed home this trip ended up costing a least 500 bucks. Steve ====================
  20. What is the DEC going to say when they check my boat and find 200 rnds. and 3 12 ga. semi's on board I'd love too shoot if it's a go Mike. Let us know please. Steve
  21. How's that, you only joined in June of this year ????
  22. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Triple S ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):8/7 Time on Water: 5:30 Weather/Temp: Sunny 60 in AM Wind Speed/Direction: W @ 10 Waves: <2 Surface Temp: 77 Location: East of Creek LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 12 Total Boated:9 Species Breakdown:Kings, Browns Hot Lure: Stingray Gator Trolling Speed: 2.0-2.5 Down Speed: 1.8-2.5 Boat Depth: 80'-175' Lure Depth: 90'-125' ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Well it was yet another day of small kings with a few decent browns mixed in. Kings up to 7lbs and browns to 10 lbs. The icing on the cake was 1 major that was hooked on a spin doc out 300' made it's first blast as a newby is trying to change it's mind. "Good luck" I say as the rod goes limp, now reel as FAST as you can, fish turns away from the boat and breaks the snubber!!!! It was funny to see the look on his face. I try to tell him he did nothing wrong but he feels like crap for losing the rig. I think Dan will want a re-match when he's asked to go out again. Steve
  23. I'd have to agree with you Scott it was fun even though the "dinks" only make you work not fight fish. Did manage 1 king around 18-19 lbs. Might be back in the AM Steve
  24. Then get in on this thing and "BE" a part of it , so far there's not enough boats to make all the effort seem worth it. Keith , Scott and Rob have put a lot of work into it. I would like to say Thank you for starting something special at our home port. Steve
  25. Had a problem with my Lcx 26 that I put on the boat in 2006. Sent it back to Lowrance and heard from customer support that a new unit would be back in 5-7 business days. With 8 days till my annual fishing trip no unit and I'm NOT happy, call tech support and end up being put through to a VERY helpful woman who not only gets to the bottom of my problem but does something I never expected. She upgrades my unit to a 2009 Lcx 28, better unit with a 30 gig hard drive and more pre loaded software. There's stuff on this thing that I will NEVER use. The new unit is awesome. Tracks the bottom at 45 mph because of the 8000 watts peak/peak power and the definition is well lets just say I can see my downrigger release at 100' . Good luck, Steve
