  1. I've fished with a few of the captains on this board and have found one thing that really seems to change the outcome of the trip...... Pay attention to the "little" things. Yankee touched on details...... well if 75' off the board isn't working don't think 85' is not the answer. I like you was happy with 6-10 fish on a trip but when double digits are the normal your left wondering what your doing wrong ???. Last year I made a very concentrated effort to set 2 things. (1) spreads of productive lures, the fish show you this and (2) consistent set back lengths. All line counters when you dial them in sometimes you'll never get the whole spread out. Good luck and kept at it
  2. Joe , thank you for keeping the Rochester Gang on the map while they mess up the river front for the "betterment" of our port. I think we both know in the end it will all be worth it but getting there will REALLY SUCK
  3. Had one of those days when EVERYTHING was working and the fish were big. Around 11:00 the school shifted to the north and the size started to get larger and larger. Well lets just say after netting 4 or 5 perch..... I set the hook and NOTHING moved. My St. Croix buckled at the cork, thought I'd snagged one but NOPE this slob found her way to the Lund. 15" long and 12 1/4" girth hitting the scale @ 2.6 lbs.
  4. are you trying to say there's more water coming from Welland than the Niagara .....not an attack just surprises me you'd pick the shipping lane over the mighty Niagara ??? 1/5 of all the fresh water in the WORLD flushes in one end and out the other. Want to try and explain one tell me your thoughts on Seneca ?
  5. Having fished it Thursday I can tell you 2 things north end is still iced up and the launch at Roy has less than 2' of water so hope you don't draft to much. I drove to Severne and even that is on the shallow side right now Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Sold.... Thank you Dennis Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United

  9. great buck........congrats on a great close to the season.
  10. I was thinking the same thing ???
  11. when you look in the mirror do you see a sportsman (the avid deer hunter you are) ???. Why would you judge someone for sharing there excitement of the harvest. All be it not to YOUR taste his son and bucketmouth are happy to share. As far as letting them grow... there's plenty of animals around and the DEC wants us "sportsman", to shoot as many as you have tags for. Want more than go and get them at Avon. I'm not attacking you just don't think a forum that isn't mainstream (facebook like) isn't going to offend the people of PETA.
  12. The thing too know is that felines are NOT able to contract Lyme Disease... that being said when the ticks leave the cats YOUR next. There are very isolated infestations and I happen to live in one. For the good of all my fellow LOU clan after this weekend and the warm-up I'll take some detailed photo's so there's NO excuses for not knowing what they look like.
  13. Rich, I don't want to insult you with a "low ball" price, send me a PM with your best price please... I'm In need, recently acquired father in laws arsenal after his passing Thanks, Steve
  14. I speak first hand .....(Gator can back me on this) I live in Perinton and have a MAJOR issue with them. Brown ticks are easy to see. They have black/brown on them but, deer ticks are about the size of a sharpened pencil tip, there tiny. All of my animals bring them in on a regular basis and have sent 25+ to Cornell thru my vet..... none have come back with a positive Lyme. That being said my neighbor was treated for Lyme after almost a year of suffering from the flu problems. My best suggestion would be treat your clothes with "Sawyer Repellant" yes it Permithrine based and once sprayed, odor free.... and after leaving the woods check your self over thoroughly, I found 1 on my leg TONIGHT little bastard had started to embed.
  15. contact the police department..... end of story. If there your's then provide serial #'s and they will return them
  16. After giving my 2 sets a short sit.... yes my back will let me have about 2 hours max. I pulled the cards off my cuddybacks. My property is showing no less than 7 bucks most of them 1.5 & 2.5 year olds. There's 1 decent 3 year old 8 pt. My other spot, that's a whole different game loads of coyotes and 3 majors including a 140-150 class 8 pt. and a 9 that is almost as big. When I check them again I'll download the pic's so you can tell me which you'd shoot. Scraps all over around me but not a lot of rubs.
  17. Rich I don't think catching 54 in 4 hours counts as "power fishing" it's plain old WORK !!!!! .... Sorry Brian it was just to tempting
  18. Best guess Quinte to winter over then spawn
  19. there's 2 of them in my front yard right now....as well as a hummingbird at the feeder. Tomorrow forecast to be 91 degs. let me know when the first frost kills the goldenrod.
  20. ??????? well what's the deal ..... survey says
  21. what length lead behind the rigger ball? The longer you get the more "crazy" the action gets. I usually run no MORE than 10'
  22. might I suggest blood run stainless trolling wire...... very happy with this product. Very strong and doesn't kink as easy as my other set up ( Malin)
  23. That's why we run slide divers on occasion..... What ever lead length you want
  24. Confused about your statement "copper mag dipsey" ...... Your running a dipsey off copper ??? Copper out the back, dipsey's off stainless wire.
