  1. i have heard commercial on the radio but never have gone out. maybe it is worth a ride out to look
  2. We have been fishing by Hedges out a bit deeper 250+ and have been getting a plenty of steelheads. it wasn;t us out there tonight
  3. We have been getting plenty of steelhead 240-300 fow(about 5miles NE out of IBay) Best setup for us has been orange NBK with a Orange Crush on a slider.
  4. gobbies were bad last year too. we quite smallmouth fishing because all we caught were gobbies
  5. i know B&E has a smaller spoon than the 28...maybe give them a call

  8. Great info! Question about Cheaters....We are using Rohmer release's when the fish hit's will the release still release the line??? Or should we run something more like a Black's Release. Also do you run Spoon on the main line with a spoon as a cheater or can you run SpinDr/Fly low and a spoon on the cheater? I'm sure you can run any configuration that you want but is there one set up more effective?
  9. We were running NK28 spoons but they were not firing. We had our luck on SpinDr/Fly. We never have used cheaters yet but are looking into it.

  11. is it still required to have a observer for Amature? I remember hearing talk about the AM division getting rid of this towards the end of last year

  14. there is a very nice temp break out of the Port of Rochester....44-47 like you said. If you don't mind were did you fish this mourning? We were out but did not have such a great day as you did. Just a few small steelies. We were about 4 miles north out of I-Bay in 100-120' of water(there was a pack of about 8 boats)
  15. we did very well too on Friday. Like you said up high(top 20' over 100') We hit everything on Orange NBK or Green/Green SpinDr/Fly All coho
  16. we have twin Yamaha 4-strokes and shut one off when we troll. It works fine with no problem
  17. We were inbetween IBay and the Genny from 4-6:30 had a few hooks on the screen but that is it. all single fish no groups by chance do you have the down temp out by sandy. What was 41-44 where we were
  18. we are heading out this afternoon towards port of rochester -> power plant. If I have time I will let you know what/how we did

  21. the 50 degree water moved just outside of I-Bay on Sunday. We setup trolling in 40' of water and it was 45 degrees down 20'. Kept moving West out of the bay and hit water that was 49.9 degrees 30' down over 60 then we hit water that was 42 degrees. It looked like Sandy was a very popular spot this weekend. We didn't make it down that far but counted 16 boats at one point(that we could see)
  22. we run black or purple mainly and do very well. We have caught a few using a watermelon We have 20# big game mono. to the dipsey then run about 6' back to a spin dr/fly or e-chip/fly. Ususally one of our hottest setups.

  24. absolutely!! we run at least 2 lines with spin docs/flies
