Laker Effect

while in Alaska my captain used dodgers paired with NK28's beleive it or not and caught our limit of Kings trolling in about an hour!

I practice the same technique as flyboy, but thump my rigger ball on the bottom, went 5 for 6 on sun in one hour fishing one rod, with manual riggers. 2 rods would be crazy as the cowbells were never down more than 2 min without action, i would give myself a heart attack cranking up and down from 115 ft.

The side with the fins which happens to be less action works for me

I have a tiller steering boat that i want to convert to a center console, any chance you still have it and is it for sale?

set up by 8 am and another fun day out of sandy. Brown trout first bite down 30 feet over 60 feet on the CHEATER green nk. second up was 2 small kings back to back down 40 and down 60 over 80 feet of water. after a little down time hit a coho on the CHEATER again and finished the day with a big laker 20 feet down over 130 feet of water , weird right?

Fished this morning with a steady pick of Lakers hitting green nk spoons anywhere from 60 feet to 150 feet, down 40-60 on the riggers. no hits on the planers or dipsy but did do a small king on a slider. no rhyme or reason to the laker bite but it sure was fun! still trying to find some bigger kings out of sandy creek.

i did not respond to the first post but i am in...i am used to fishing ontario but would love to give this a shot

go on a local charter for the day instead of renting a boat, they will set you up with salmon for sure!

well after my derby partner stood me up for the second day in a row i decided to launch my 17 ft triumph by my self this morning. 4 ft rollers, oh and did i mention my boat is tiller steer...anyways......i put a 20 pound king in the boat in 20 min off a green flashers and green fly out 175 ft on on a wire dipsey rig setting 3 in only 75 feet of water. hope i am a little helpful. also i was only out for an hour so i suppose anyone with a little bigger boat did quite well this morning.
