We were there after the roll last weekend and it sucked. We did hook up with a couple of nice fish inside but lost both of them. Our best luck was down by the bar. It was one tough Saturday in that fog. We did go deep about 350-400 and boated some nice steelhead. We marked alot of fish right in front of Olcott in 70 fow but could not get them to go. Good luck to you and I bet this weekend they will be killing them. Mark

Hey I'm comine in from Cleveland leaving Thursday night staying all weekend. I will be docked in Olcott but probably will fish between Wilson and the bar. That's what it's about just kill the working man once again.......I understand laws and stuff to protect but that's just plain stupid, real terroists aren't gonna start from Wilson drive across the border, fish and then drive back to Wilson, come on. Sorry but a little frustrated by this all......

I wasn't sure if they changed the law there like they tried to here in Ohio about crossing the border to fish. That's good to hear all I need is a license. Thanks Mark

Can you guys tell me what is needed if I do fish the canadian side? I would like to come out of Wilson and drive to the canadian border from the water. What do I need just to fish not to land on the shore? Thanks Mark

Yup that was us. We did end up pulling another for a big grand total of four. I like helping each other out. Some people won't help at all but for me I'm an out of towner and anytime I can get help it's saves time and gas and thats big in this day an age. Hey if any of you ever fish Erie down here by Cleveland or Lorain look me up I'll help ya out. Mark

I heard you guys out there getting those fish. It was slow for us all weekend. The No See Um tip might have been us if it was Saturday cause I was bored and I was talking on the radio. We went 8 for 9 with kings and 8 steelies out deep. All kings came on a wire dipsy with the no see um fly 200 back. We fished pretty much from the microwave to the red barn. Our best spot was the red barn 70-100 fow. We got four nice kings out of there the biggest was 25. The flies when I buy them new I change the hooks to mustad hooks, don't know if that helps or not but we only lost one at the boat. Oh yeah the 25 pounder came in 100fow 70 down on the downrigger with a spook nk28. That was out only spoon bite for a king. Well we are back in Ohio for fall walleye action. Mark
