SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS Went out with a buddy from work in his boat on his first LO spring Brown trip. We had a good morning. Lake was great, with good color. We got 15 Browns up to 10 pounds. Dock was in at the launch when we got back. Hope to get out again soon. Sorry no pics.

The show was fun. My kid had a blast. Nice meeting you Sandy guys. Can't wait to get out. Scott thanx for the flies. My kid wants to use his Superman fly for Perch this weekend.
Any of you guys ever try 2 trebles instead of a Octupus. Read on a Lake Michigan site where he uses em, seems to get better hook ups. I was gonna tie up a few to try it.
Years ago we caught some Walleye at Oneida. I was working in Oswego and there was a place that would bread em and fry em up with fries. Boy were they awesome. I don't remember the name of the place or if they still do it.
Guys, there will be a summary on the DEC website about the State of the Lake prior to the meeting. This will give everyone a chance to review the info before the meeting, and I was told there will be plenty of time for comments, unlike past years.
I plan on being out there tommoro morn. I will have my black Steelers jacket on so say Hi if ya see me. Im gonna try for Pike and a few perch. If any of you guys out today have an ice report for out past the docks I would appreciate it if ya let me know. Thanx. I should have taken today off. Oh well. Thanks Brian
As the lake cools try for Browns in shallow. Fish just like ya would in spring. Last year i went out for one last boatride and when I came in a couple guys had a cooler full of browns.
Yea I agree with above about depth. We were in 30 fow and I put dipsy out 90 and we got in a little shallow and tapped bottom. Go less than 3 to 1 in shallow but out deeper it is darn close. Last week I had it out 270 and it hit in just under 90 feet. That is on 3 setting. We only managed one steelie yesterday in about 80 fow. If I had bigger boat I would have run out to 300 and trolled north.
Good goin. There was a good screen when I talked to ya yesterday. We pulled two decent kings out of that area b4 we went in around 12:30. Wish we stayed out longer we may have pulled a few more after a slow start. We didn't start untill 8:30. Green doctors were good for us.
