  5. Great report Capt. Bruce! Thank you for the detailed report especially with your note about the black and silver stickbait. You certainly have outdone most of us on the board!
  6. Sold - payment pending. #8 balls still available. Thanks. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  7. Go with Honda 4 stroke outboard for your kicker. Be sure it has electric charger to satisfy your boat with all of the electronics running such as fish finder, gps, radio and downriggers. I got mine with electric tiller and electric starter. I bought mine through Arneys Marina out of Sodus. Not cheap unless you want to pay for something that will give you a peace of mind for a very long time.
  8. Awesome pictures of beautiful browns! Oswego got some serious browns. Best luck with fishing in 2011!
  9. Thanks guys! Among the important things I forgot to bring was window canvas for port side. Luckily it wasnt raining at all even though it was quite brisk out there.

  11. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): Good Friday - April 22, 2011 Time on Water: 7 am to noon Weather/Temp: overcast Wind Speed/Direction: SW to SE Waves: slight ripple Surface Temp: 42 to 43 Location: Ibay to Webster Park LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 9 Total Boated: 4 Species Breakdown: Brown, Atlantic, Steelhead Hot Lure: stickbaits Trolling Speed: 2.4-2.8 Down Speed: Boat Depth: 5 to 15 Lure Depth: ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== We started fishing for the first time in 2011. I had two buddies on board with me: Mark aka - Deaf Fisherman and a rookie who loves bass fishing. Like I said, it was a shakedown trip. It was slightly comical trip in which we started the voyage with me yelling to myself, "I forgot the darn nets". It was funny watching each one of us trying to land the fish with our wet hands in the cold water. Five rod spread with planer boards on both sides. Only had one rigger on board. All hits took stickbaits: Rebel black and silver, my favorite pink stickbait, green perch pattern, Rapala orange floater. Pea soup color was found east of I bay. Activity peaked when we made the first pass on the point from I bay to Webster. So many miss, our drags were not set up properly. Again this is just a shakedown. Nothing big and our "largest catch" was just a 5# brown. Mark caught his first atlantic! Highlight was at the end of the trip, my rookie bass man was battling huge steelehad. We could not bring it in successfully without the net! Best of luck to everyone at LOU for 2011 fishing season!
  12. Sean, Thats a darn shameful act by Yamaha Corporation. I am sorry to hear that you have to endure a huge financial loss for a faulty outboard motor. Like Tom aka Long Line, I would not consider buying another Yamaha outboard after I learned about your demise. I own 2003 Yamaha outboard 150HP. Yamaha has a lot of explanations for you and the rest of the gang at LOU. Anthony
