  1. Mark, The river is running very high due to the excess snow melt. All brown and muddy. This is not a good time to fish.
  2. The silvers blanks are smooth. I was hoping to toy with them over the winter however spring is just right in front of me.
  3. Spring cleaning- continued: Here is a pair of fixed angled rod holders for rail mount. $50 for the pair. Local pick up in Rochester preferred. Thanks for looking
  4. Continuation of spring cleaning: Cedar Planer boards for sale: $50 for the pair. Prefer local pick up in Rochester. Thanks for looking.
  5. As a result of spring cleaning, I have NK blank spoons for sale: 9 silver nk28 6 black nk dl 28 18 black nk28 The bag in the photo contains split rings and treble hooks. $40 for all. $2 to ship out. Local pick up can be done in Rochester.
  6. Welcome aboard Mark! It is good to meet another deaf fisherman like myself. You re very welcome to fish on my boat next month as I target trouts and salmon. As of now, you may want to check for reports under Lake Ontario Tributary Fishing Anthony
  7. A buddy of mine told me he was fishing on south end of the bay over the weekend. He has caught 2.1 lbs perch. Picture pending.
  8. If you re looking for some catchy boat name which might draw some laughters: Dragging Balls (think someone has this from LOU) Master Baiter Bush Whacker Lips Ripper Scumline Finder/Hunter Scum Thing Fishy Please share whatever you decide. Best of luck.
  9. Being a novice, I had some trouble with the weight retriever on the coated cable. I have lost a depth raider because I failed to reterminate the line before it gave away. Dawg - we re on the same page. I plan to get a dedicated rigger just for the probe only.
  10. Way to go Rollie! Happy Birthday!
  11. Thanks for sharing a great slide show. Our school is just right by the river gorge south of 104 bridge. Occasionally, I take a peek down the gorge and wondered how the guys were doing down there. You have proven that fishing can be successful in the winter.
  12. Wow. Beautiful brown! Thanks for sharing.
  13. YT, I grew up fishing for the billfish tournaments on my cousins boat off New Jersey shores (Ocean City, NJ). We caught mostly yelllow fins tuna and some sail fishs at least 30 miles off shore. The tuna steak on the grill are so tasty. You will want to keep the tuna meat in addition to fighting them. Blue fins tuna are much bigger and I do recall catching a few of them. AD
  14. Ahoy Rod, They re very delicous looking flies! Thanks for sharing the pictures. 50-50 chance that I would make it to the LOTSA show. Tight lines!
  15. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. May Gary rest in peace.
  16. Hi Dave, Thank you for your effort with bringing a competitive fishing to the Lake O I really liked the minimum weight on the trouts. Makes great sense! In any case, I am interested in signing up for this tournament! Anybody out of Irondequoit Bay who wants to team up can contact me by PM!
  17. Welcome aboard Dave. Anytime you need a helping hand out of Irondequoit Bay, please feel free to drop me a line. I am docked at Irondequoit bay.
  18. Rollie, These mounts are beautiful. I wish I had a cabin to display them. Cant wait for spring! Tight lines!
  19. Congrats on the new cruiser. Were you the one who has proven that bananas on the boat is just a myth?
  20. Beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing.
  21. Rich, By golly - you re absolutely right on this! I really liked your set up very much and our boats are nearly identical. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place as I have made up my mind to spend money on the auto pilot this year. I will need to find a third job if I am to spend $ on the Atlantic Towers tight lines!
  22. Welcome aboard Captain Vince! I bow to you!
  23. Tim and Jeff: I agree that this type of set up should only be limited to holding the rods. Simple as that. Heres a sister photo of this boat. I have rod holders at the stern for a single copper set up. There are four rod holders just in the back of the stern and before the outboard motor. Overall plan - I will add a heavy duty low profile dipsey dual rod holders on port and starboard for the diver set up. http://www.greatlakesplaners.com/index.htm. Word to wise to those who have rail mount clamp on rod holders: I have lost a copper set up and net by relying on this darn rail mount rod holders. If I had invested into low profile dual rod holders, I would have saved myself plenty of greenbacks. Thanks in advance for your help.
