  1. Wow! I cant stop looking at these pictures! Thanks for posting GK!
  2. Slimy hooks - you have a pm!
  3. I would check with Bosco. He seems to be the most knowledgable about the walleyes in I bay.
  4. Sindale, I was fishing in the premise around Held's cove where the goons thought they had the luxury to cruise through the shallow area. I was fishing in between 6 and 9 FOW where the pike hit the bait. I try to be careful about where I chose to fish yet these goofballs managed to show up where they shouldnt be. Indeed, I truly prefer fishing during the weekdays as compared to the weekends. Pike will still be there preying on anything that comes up along the weedlines year round.
  5. Nice Pike! helluva fish, eh!
  6. Fall fishing has been excellent and you know how little time we have left in the evenings when all the hungry fish are still preying. Last Friday evening, first ten minutes, this brute took pike minnow and immediately broke the water surface. Took great ten minutes to finally tire down the fish and landed with a pole in one hand and net in the other hand. Two days earlier, I lost the fish when trying to reach out and grab the net at starboard behind the canvas. Nice 34" about 7 lbs. On Sunday a.m. went out again. Pike were not biting at all. Traffic, perhaps. Then, in front of me between my boat and the land, a wakeboat came crusing towing goofball doing some jumps on air board. With all of water in the bay, this boat chose to speed off in between my boat and two other boats. Three of our boats were very close to the shore, yet that wakeboard boat zipped through. If this has happened to you, what would you have done? A) Flip the bird. B) Aim hard with your old golf balls at the wakeboat driver and the goofball riding on airboard. C) Pray to god you have very good defense lawyer after you fire upon them. D) Do nothing and whine about it to your fellow fishermen on the LOU board.
  7. Guys, thank you for the excellent tips. Tight lines. Anthony
  8. Slimy hooks - I am in awe about your report. Forgive my rookie questions Do you run in the genny with your boat or was it a hike down to the gorge? I ve went out all day with friends last Monday trolling around outside the river in the lake between 30 to 80 FOW. Saw many fish on screen but NADA. My friends said I just suck! I went back to the bay and caught 11 inches perch. Very humbling experience. I have never ventured in Genny river with my 21' wellcraft. I am not sure if Jon boat is the way to go through all the way past 104 bridge.
  9. Thanks for the excellent tip.
  10. Nice rig. where is this boat located? Thanks.
  11. Great pictures! This is exactly the same fish I have been dreaming about. Keep up with the great catches.

  15. Wow. U've sure killed em! Thanks fors sharing these awesome pictures!
  16. I went out solo on on a short trip on Sunday afternoon from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. No silvers but steelheads! I wanted to get out much earlier in the morning but with my kids and their football schedule, fishing has moved down on my ladder of priorities. Trolled in 60 to 80 FOW between IBay and Genny River. Speed between 2.8 and 3.2. First Rigger 20' down and 30 out and second rigger 25' down and 40' out. Screen showed very very little activity after 70 FOW. More activity in 60 FOW. Just like the last time when I trolled last Tuesday evening. First fifteen minutes came and I landed 6# Steelehead on DW Michigan Dolphin. Same spoon that got me fish last week on evening trolling. The 2nd fish came on the same spoon and fought for a minute with some cool jumps in the air and then spat out the lure. Then I headed back to the dock wishing I had more time to chase for the steelheads.
  17. Thanks guys. I am still trying to ID the spoon that took the steelie. Any one with an idea?
  18. Went out solo for a very short evening trip. Saw tons of bait in 80 to 90 FOW. After ten minutes, rigger 20' down fired and landed nice 8 lbs steelie on DW spoon (not sure if its Michigan Dolphin DW lure). Temp was 55 on surface and speed was abt 3.0. It was a perfect evening to be out with clear sky across the lake and dark cloulds hoovering the land in the background.
  19. Thanks for the report. What is the speed when trolling by the river? Also, is the speed the same or different when you head out to 150 to 250 FOW? I went out for couple hours yesterday to the river and ran 4 J-plugs without any bite. I wish I had enough time to fish but had to head back to take my family out to brunch. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated. Tight lines.
  20. Awesome pixs! Thanks for sharing.
  21. Thanks guys. Tight lines!
  22. I had to twist my buddy's arms repeatedly to get this picture which was waaaayyyyy overdue. I took my son out on his birthday last month to catch some browns with local charter captain. It took me a long time to convince my son that there are rewards to reaped for being PATIENT while trolling for fish. My son disliked trolling after several bouts of getting skunked on my boat. This fish was caught near Webster park. Here's a photo of 11th place Brown on Fall Loc. This fish took NK glow frog spoon. I wanted to post this earlier if it was not for the delay with getting htis precious photo. My lesson tells me to get my own digital camera.
  23. Thank you for sharing this with the LOU members. May your generousity may be rewarded by the gods of Lake O with many more big catches. Tight lines.
