Located on the lake just a couple miles east of Oak Orchard/Pt. Breeze is this fantastic condition ranch! It is a year round paradise! Maintenance free vinyl siding/brick exterior, a recently remodeled kitchen, a brand new tear off roof (July 2010) , 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths, 2 picture windows overlooking the lake and a fishing hotspot!. It's approx. 1,005 sq. ft and includes a small boathouse which has a rail system for a 17-18 ft boat, also included is a separate 1 car garage. Take a look, there is alot of new features/replacements and money spent on this house within the last 5 yrs. For $121,900 it has to be one of the best buys around. 80 feet of water frontage too! The lot is .37 acre. Deal directly with the owner/agent and save! pics at http://www.northernstarrealty.com/lakeontariohouse.htm _________________

Q: Will offshore wind turbines have a negative effect on property values? A: In December 2009, the Environmental Energy Technologies Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory published “The Impact of Wind Power Projects on Residential Property Values in the United States: A Multi-Site Hedonic Analysis†(http://eetd.lbl.gov/ea/ems/reports/lbnl-2829e.pdf). While offshore sites were not part of this study, the report analyzed residential home sales from 10 communities surrounding 24 existing wind farms across the United States and concluded that “neither the view of the wind facilities nor the distance of the home to those facilities is found to have any consistent, measurable, and statistically significant effect on home sales prices.†Guys all I can tell you is having been a Realtor for 28 yrs. and after reading this, I am sickened. This is a complete joke. Who wants to buy a property on the lake with a nice view of turbines? They must be kidding right? No affect on value? How stupid do they think the public is? Id like to put a turbine farm in front of the home of the director and see how fast he changes his tune. This is a horribly wicked idea for property owners, fisherman, and nature lovers and conservationists. I hope there is some kind of public vote on this rather than having it rammed down our throat. WTF

I'll give it a try thanks. Is that a round head or banana shape or flat?

rapala knot on a jig? ...thats pretty radical, never heard of anyone using it for jigs. Thanks for the info.
-
Im surprised at how heavy you're going. Ive used 1 oz before and thought it was overkill. I have no problem staying on bottom with 1/2 using 10 lb test (then again Im used to using 1/16 oz jigs for perch) . Is it true lakers really like chartruese? It worked well once for me but only once. Any other jig syles other than twister tails?

Anyone been out on Seneca lately for Perch?
-
I like using jigs on the bar for lakers using spinning rods and 10 lb test, what a blast. I have had luck on bucktails, swimbait style, etc. but cant seem to find a ryme or reason go to jig. Anyone out there have any favorites? size, color, etc.? Thanks BP

I have a really nice ranch (year round) I'm selling right on the lake with 80 feet of lake frontage. It has so many improvements it's rediculous for this price ($134,900) The following improvements were done in 2005-2006: Vinyl siding, thermopane windows, insulation, furnace, roof, kitchen, carpet, lighting, septic & leech lines, and more. There is a small boathouse which will fit about a 16 foot boat or so with rail system & electric winch. A separate garage with electric and work area. 5 minutes to the Oak and hot fishing straight out. (it's east of the Oak by about 1-2 miles or so). Also its near the parkway ramp for easy access and located on a dead end private drive. The neighboring lots are spaced apart. Any charter guys want to be 5 minutes away from your docked boat? This is a perfect place to retire to, 2 bdrms, 1.5 baths about 1,000 s.f. For pics check out http://www.northernstarrealty.com/lakeontariohouse.htm (note I am the Owner/Realtor) _________________

Fishing the Bar tomorror 4/2
BP Swing replied to slapshot's topic in New York Fishing Reports - Lake Ontario (South Shore)
I counted about 23 boats there today at the green bouy. I didnt see a single net being used. One guy I spoke to got 1 big laker, another guy at the launch said he got 7 trolling, I got 1 jigging 34", lost 1, and 1 other hit before the wind kicked up and blew me off. Not as much action as I was expecting. Water was 39 still. -
Heres another photo on my site...what a slob. http://bpspinners.com/coolfishingmuseumroom6.html

are ice chunks a problem? -
what color ? (crappie size?)
-
Trying to decide if hook color makes a difference when Perch fishing. Still no rhyme or reason for me. The poll is for single hooks not jigs.
-
NO and it was a pain in the %&^ especially with the wind whippin from the west.
-
Definitely open, was out today, water temp 41, windy, and got about a dozen to 13". Got a late start though but at least got the boat up and running. Fish were scattered.

Anybody getting any perch?

Anybody catching them at Seneca or am I stupid for even asking? I forgot that is the best secret in North America. Its not like its a small lake, never could figure out why everyones so tight lipped there.

Around here your options are limiited. Genesee River, a few in Sodus, Honeoye, and Conesus. Plus Silver L. and a few in I bay.
