    Monster Eye!

Nice going on the fish of a lifetime and congrats on releasing it. 1/64 oz jig blows my mind! Did the lakers hit that too? How did you have this rigged?
  2. Ray are you toplining or is the yozuri off a board ? Are you using a snap weight or inline sinker. I like the idea. Thanks BP
  3. I am looking for an Islander under 12k if anybody is thinking of selling. 19 or 22 foot. 1992 and newer. Shoot me a PM if you know of one. Thanks BP
  4. I found them at fishusa.com for 11.95 plus shipping. Also one more question. As far as rigging them, do you guys like them sliding down the line upon release or using a second release clip so when you get a fish you have to unsnap 2 releases and then finish fighting the fish? Otherwise you have to fight the fish and the board with the slide down method.????? Which release would you use if you wanted to use the 2 release method with superline.????? Way to many questions here
  5. Thanks Ill try that. The rubberband method didnt work for me today. It kept slipping down the line. The twist method worked a little but it also released a few times. Im gonna get the releases you mentioned. Who has em?
  6. Was there today. No ice. Lots of floating sticks and logs, water temp 39 degrees, very few fish around but a fair number of boats. I was disappointed because all I remember was hauling in huge lakers there last year on light spinning tackle. Didnt mark hardly anything either. If you went west of the river in Canadian water it was 54, got a small coho there. Will try again next week when water warms.
  7. Ive heard of lots of guys who had problems with vanish including myself. Only problem is if you want flouro in a pinch (locally), its widely available where as seagar is not.
  8. Good idea, have you or anyone else tried this?
  9. OK this is driving me nuts! I have a rig with 14/6 fireline and I want to use a off shore inline planer board with some stickbaits. The fireline keeps slipping out of the release pads. It seems 1 time I read there was a way to correct it but I'll be darn if I can figure it out. Anybody? Thanks
  10. My report is almost a ditto of yours today. I was in the white Sylvan. 1 brown about 6 lbs on a brown trout rapala. 10 feet water, board 150 back. No other hits, left at 11am. clear water, sunny, calm, 30.2 barometer, I knew it would be tough plus no warm water to be found except the creek. Should of hung around there more. BP out
  11. Yes vanish sucks. Knot stregth is not good, no matter what knot you use.
  12. Canandaigua is one of the top pickerel lakes in NYS. Anything over 5 lbs is a trophy.
  13. Do you guys like rigging them to slide down the line or to be taken off manually? Hmmm.....
  14. Since when are there Pike in Canandaigua? Do you mean Pickerel?
  15. What do you guys like for leaders for shallow trolling browns? Mono or Fluro? What lb test? Im trying to decide. Thanks BP
  16. Thats all I needed to hear. I couldnt decide between lowrance and Humminbird. Im in the market for a new sonar/gps combo and it looks like Humminbird from what I read here. Screw lowrance and their 3 hour wait time.
  17. Feel free to roll the dice then if you dont mind tickets and loss of permit....
  18. No doubt, You can not have big motors on the boat even if you claim you are not using or you will get ticketed. Been going there 30 years and thats the rule. They do check on a regular basis as well.
  19. OK this is not Nuclear technology Im asking for. Just a few Seneca Perch reports although it might as well be, Id problably get more info on Nuclear technology! Can anybody break the silence and tell me how and if they have been hitting on Seneca before I make the 150 mile round trip and 50 bucks worth of gas. I know the weather has not been great but anything would be appreciated. I feel foolish for even asking because usually the answer is..........silence BP
  20. 48" would be alot bigger than 16.5 lbs. Closer to 30.
  21. What is the biggest Pike you have either caught or witnessed in either Seneca or Conesus L. over the last 10 yrs or so? And what were you using?
  22. Actually, I have heard of muskies doing that from other boards. Never heard of a Pike doing it though so you may be right.
  23. pay a garbage company to empty it just like anyone else does. How much would it cost. I pay 50 bucks for 2 mos. Big deal.
  24. I like the guys reply about having a golf cart shuttle and enforcer of the rules. Too bad it will never happen in NY. (although they have a shuttle at the Buffalo Harbor) How bout at least a garbage pail??? Is that asking for too much?
  25. What was it a Pike or Musky? Or couldnt tell?
