  1. water is low....
  2. My blood pressure is fine.. I really can't say why we could not hook up, but others have had no problem whatsoever....bob
  3. Thanks for looking guys.. These lures are being held for a member. bob
  4. Are these walleyes being caught on treble hooked plugs? I wonder if trolling with trebles in pretty deep water is the problem?. I catch a lot of Walleyes every year, but mine are caught in a river in water 15 feet deep and under on single hook jigs mostly.. Never can I remember a floater in all the years I have been Walleye fishing... Trebles kill IMHO.. I have been cutting 1 hook off many of my my trebles for several years, and the fish are so much easier to unhook, and initial hookup is every bit as good... It has certainly upped survival on my released fish.
  5. I have seen these reels.. They are pristine.. These are absolute top of the line USA Penn.. In my opinion the finest spinning reels ever made.. The price is super as well. These go $85 each on ebay... Ralph is a good guy to deal with, we just made a nice trade of gear, and I got 2 of the penn reels he had .. Immaculate condition... bob
  6. Be nasty if you'd like, but I explained in the post I had INDEED sent out emails through this site, and none were received for whatever reason.. In any case, I have made a bunch of deals here in the past week or two including selling a boat, trading lures for rods and reels with several very nice guys, selling a trolling plate, and buying a boat seat. If you tried to get in touch and couldn't I'm sorry, but 6 other guys had no major problems. Perhaps the source of the inefficiency would reveal itself if you look in the mirror... If you have nothing useful to say, please be kind enough to leave the for sale posts alone.. Someone can use this gear, if you can't...
  7. 28 spoons, 25 plugs.. Some of the spoons have brands, some don't- one just says made in Canada.. The plugs are mostly Rebel, most are jointed.. There are also 5 Rapalas, a couple of Rattle Traps, and a flatfish or knock off therof.. The Plugs are mostly new, never used, or used once, and the spoons are lightly used for the most part, although some show a few tooth marks etc... $60 firm for all.. Still looking for a stiff Graphite spinning rod [no reel] that can handle a say a large 20+ pound Bluefish, Striper or Salmon.. If you have a decent one to trade, you can take all the lures for $30.. PLEASE look at the colors and styles and make sure you can use this stuff before calling. Would also consider a straight swap for a decent depth finder w/ transducer thats working.. call Bob at 607-659-5334 Or email me at [email protected] Please do not respond here, its not as efficient trying to communicate via PM
  8. I was out there at the bluffs as well... Didn't see that many boats today.. Decent fishing, certainly not spectacular. A friend and I brought 5 to the boat, and dropped that many on the way up.. Bite was good early, but dropped fast after about 9 am... We had them on white twister tails , pearl/black shad paddle tails, and one on a jigging spoon... My friend was a first timer to jigging lakers, and was pretty happy landing the first fish of the day on his first drop of the morning as soon as we stopped the boat. He landed two, dropped one, .. All in all a good day. We were on the way home by 10:45. No fish were caught with a "jigging" motion.. All were caught on a drop and reel retrieve today, the faster the better... One crazy laker [ I THINK it was a laker] came flying up through 120 FOW and took a massive swipe/swirl at the lure an inch from the boat as I was lifting the lure out of the water.. He must have taken lessons from the resident pickeral/Pike, etc... One fish was a respectable 26 inch female, very dark, almost black. One of the darkest lakers I have ever caught.. She was loaded with quickly ripening eggs, as was another good size fish we kept... I always feel creepy about keeping gravid fish, but I do realize that Keuka is absolutely loaded with lakers.. We marked a LOT more fish than bait.. as a matter of fact, we saw NO bait today.... bob
  9. I emailed you through the site, along with 2 others.. Sorry about that, none of you got the emails evidently, and there's nothing I can do about that.. Several people are pissed at me, and I tried to contact them... . Phone calls are best, I will no longer try and use the email function on this site.... BOB.. 607-659-5334
  10. Caleb.. I sent you an email.. bob
  11. Those are great reels, but I am more interested in a couple basic salt water setups that can be used in deep water with heavy sinkers.. No need for high end gear really... bob
  12. It will sell....and she did tell me you called, she just wasn't sure what you were talking about, she thought you meant a motor.. it was too late to call back, thats why I sent the email asking you to call tues.. We are talking ONE day here...
  13. btw, Mike.. here is a copy of the email i sent you last night about this very subject... I haven't been around much lately, and when I have been, i have been getting home late.. My wife said someone called about "something about a motor"... In any case. try again tues after 6 or weds after 5 and I'll be here.. bob 659-5334
  14. I have been working a LOT and late.. Sorry about that... I wasn't anticipating it when i posted... anger over a missed call is totally useless. I had other guys contact me about some lures I wanted to trade, and apologized on that post as well. My wife said " some guy called about a motor".. Not sure if that was you or not. If it was, again, sorry. In any case, if anyone can use it, first $50 takes it... bob
  15. My buddy has found a small boat, and wants to sell the Aquasport outright .. no trades. This is a HELL of a lot of boat at the asking price of $3400 or BO... Thats what just the 2 engines that are on it sell for on ebay.. I checked. This boat will take anything the big lakes can muster.. If it can't, you probably should not be out there... Here are a few highlights.. STRONG running 200 Mariner w/ Johnson kicker on Garelick bracket Power tilt on motor, and trim tabs on boat Live well HUGE optional cooler/locker, factory installed factory Swim Ladder Rod Holders Planer Mast and board 2 Big Jon electric dowriggers.. He is not sure if they work, he never used them all gauges are operational, as is bilge pump Nice Bimini top Captains chairs EZ Loader trailer.. good tires, good spare, works well,,, some surface rust.. needs paint, surge brakes that aren't working... Boat has an 18 inch crack a few inches under the rub rail where someone backed into it.. A very easy fix.. He just taped over it and NEVER had an issue.. This is a very serious big water boat thats pretty much water ready, but would benefit from a weekend of TLC... Here are some pics... I could only post first 5 pics.. I have 6 more.. email me and I'll send them to you... bob [email protected]
  16. Got some calls when I was not around, Sorry if I did not get back to some guys, I just have been working a LOT,, Have not been around much.. I did send emails through this site,, but judging by the anger I have encountered, they did not go through for some reason, although I did have copies sent to me that came through just fine.. I have hundreds of these lures ... NK's Rebels, Rapala's Suttons.. So many others, I can't begin to name them, plus all kinds of downrigger clips, and widgets... All in mint/new condition and all still available for trading... bob
  17. Still available.... Brand new condition...
  18. They are easy to catch in the Susquehanna River in the fall... Not real big, up to 23-24 inches, and lots of shorts, occasional one over 5 pounds but they are pretty rare. Most are 18-20 inches. On a good evening just before dark you can catch 3 or 4, or even limit out in less than an hour at certain times and certain places. 1/4 oz. jigs with a twister or small fluke tail is all you need.. Not sure its worth the drive, for you, but there are a lot of them in the river, and it takes no special skill to catch them here. Early morning, until about 9 am, or evenings from about 2 hours before dark, until nightfall. Mid days are a total waste of time on this river, until the water gets real cold, and then its jigs with a minnow fished slow and deep.... bob
  19. Length-36 Width -18 Depth 7 1/2
  20. In brand new/ mint/ condition.. This is the big one, its on a 100 HP motor right now... I put about 1 mile on it, and it works well as a hydrofoil, but I have 2 other hydrofoils designed for just that purpose, and would rather have some of the money back... I will never use it in the trolling position as I simply don't troll.. These are about $110 + tax everywhere.. Get a practically brand new one for $50... bob - 607-659-5334
  21. I have hundreds and hundreds af new or near new trolling lures.. So many different types and colors, I can't even begin to say whats what.. Spoons plugs etc... Also have all types of downrigger clips, swivels, etc.. Tons of little doodads, and I have no idea what they are for, as I hate trolling, especially with riggers.. They will just sit and rot.. I am looking to trade some of this stuff for some heavy, stout salt water rods, that can catch Cod in deep water. heavy reels too, spinning or conventional.. Also need some boat stuff.. anchor, rope, bilge pump, decent depth finder, seats, etc... bob 607-659-5334
  22. Out of an 18 foot Starcraft... Its old, but in good shape.. VERY clean and shiny white inside.. outside not rusted, could use new paint.. This is a longer flatter tank..Set up for OMC hoses, but any fittings would work of course... Very solid . Needs a sending unit.. I checked the unit in it and it is bad.. Sending unit is a Kysor, and they are about $20-$23 new.. Will trade for a decent 6 gallon plastic tank... Can send pics if there is any interest..bob 607-659-5334
  23. We are sitting here at work right now... Later this week I will take some pictures, and post them,,, He is most interested in a semi V aluminum, Sylvan , Starcraft,or similar, but may consider other boats as wee.. No junk please...bob
  24. The charter boat is the way to go... UNLESS your friend/client and yourself can work out a share the expenses arrangement and keep the boat at a a good marina. Boats and their upkeep is becoming a major problem.. The outlay is huge.. Its VERY easy to sell a 14 ft aluminum w a 9.9.. Tows easy, sips gas, and will catch plenty of big fish..A 23 footer will catch bigger fish in bigger water, but for many [like me] its simply not worth the huge cash outlay... Try selling a 23 footer with twin 150's.. Unless you are pretty lucky, or sell super cheap, the pool of potential buyers is quite small, compared to a small boat... btw, Why not just take your friend out to jig lakers on your own boat??.. He would LOVE it.. problem solved... bob
  25. Anyway you could post a couple photos? I plan to, but won't be able to get there until next week sometime.. this was just to check if there is any interest.. Pics will be posted, and more specific information will be posted in a week or so... bob
