You really don't understand how nice those waves are.
You should have fished Lake Erie with us today out of Conneaut, OH. Put those 3 times closer together, with teeth, and add a foot and a half.
I love Lake O because it is so much easier on my teeth and back!!!
It was 3 to 5s power swells with top teeth for most of the day and the parking lot was still PACKED.
Day 1 update: There is a 30# 7 oz King on the board. Taken out of Oswego.
There are also 2 x 29#s and 2 x 28#s as well.
Anybody wanna change their votes???
I don't know about the Oak Derby,
There have been several caught over 30 by folks not in the derby, the Boat Doctors are reporting Pierlioni got a 32 yesterday off Olcott.
Remember there was a 30# caught in JUNE this year...
Every spring I see a flotilla of 16'ers off the Niagara Bar as far as 7 or 8 miles off the river. There are PLENTY of days Lake O is like a sheet of glass, at least on the west end.
The big boyz that have been hangin' out on the north shore appear to be on the move back towards "home".
I'd imagine that there will be some IMPRESSIVE fish taken in the next few weeks.
I'd bet you'll see a 40+ take the derby.
I'm sure the Fish Doctor (Ernie) is out east somewhere and has a 40+ tied up that way. LOL
I think you guys will recognize quite a few of the place winners, almost all have LOU ties and Lake O connections.

Tough weekend of fishing due to our abundance of warm water but some guys managed to get 'em.
I am checking out at Narby's when in walks a lure rep for the smaller lures that the paint comes off of (need I say more)
LMAO!!!!!
I love it! You'd think that they could get that problem corrected somehow by now!!!
Won't buy 'em, won't fish 'em.
Used to until I'd find a hot pattern, catch 3 or 4 fish on it and now all the paint is gone and it won't catch another. NO MORE!
Isn't it kind of like a flasher in front of a fly? The flasher representing the gamefish and the fly the prey item? That's always seemed backwards to me too, but it sure does work...
Wow, I actually got something right with the PROs.
I agree with the 39 degrees. 2 springs in a row, that is where we found matures. Last 2 fall outings we found teens in the 48 to 55 range and vapor water from 42 to 48 and matures from 39 to 42. Got to go DEEEEEP.
