  1. I guess the cam doesn't really show the height... Those look more like 2 to 4 rollers from the vid. Sorry, I feel your pain...
  2. You really don't understand how nice those waves are. You should have fished Lake Erie with us today out of Conneaut, OH. Put those 3 times closer together, with teeth, and add a foot and a half. I love Lake O because it is so much easier on my teeth and back!!! It was 3 to 5s power swells with top teeth for most of the day and the parking lot was still PACKED.
  3. As of 3:30 on day 1, there is already a 30#+ in the lead. Here they come!!!
  4. Day 1 update: There is a 30# 7 oz King on the board. Taken out of Oswego. There are also 2 x 29#s and 2 x 28#s as well. Anybody wanna change their votes???
  5. 37#er off Oswego last Sunday...
  6. Great service, great product selection. Its the only place I can find my Fav King spoon. (Ole Yeller)
  7. *Chomp*... There goes the paint...
  8. Nice... Yet to get a double digit 'Ho. Biggest so far is 8.
  9. What odds are up for the Fish Doctor??? Maybe we ought to run a poll to see what odds are on him catching the Fall LOC winner... AGAIN. LOL.
  10. I don't know about the Oak Derby, There have been several caught over 30 by folks not in the derby, the Boat Doctors are reporting Pierlioni got a 32 yesterday off Olcott. Remember there was a 30# caught in JUNE this year...
  11. Every spring I see a flotilla of 16'ers off the Niagara Bar as far as 7 or 8 miles off the river. There are PLENTY of days Lake O is like a sheet of glass, at least on the west end.
  12. The big boyz that have been hangin' out on the north shore appear to be on the move back towards "home". I'd imagine that there will be some IMPRESSIVE fish taken in the next few weeks. I'd bet you'll see a 40+ take the derby. I'm sure the Fish Doctor (Ernie) is out east somewhere and has a 40+ tied up that way. LOL
  13. I think you guys will recognize quite a few of the place winners, almost all have LOU ties and Lake O connections. Official Results: http://www.epsfa.com/2008tour/results.htm Pro Top 3: Pacific Time - Todd Pavlik (3rd in Spring Scotty) Vision Quest V - Pete Alex (1st at '08 Orleans Pro Am) Shirley B - John Bogdan (1st at 2007 Big Boyz on Lake Michigan) AM Top 3: Storm Warning II - Matt Cannon (yours truly) Rock n' Reel - Ralph Eades (2008 Western Lake O cup winner) Round Up - Shawn Jones (Shawn caught the 30# King at the Orleans Pro Am aboard Pacific Time) Weekend Big Fish: Free Spirit - Paul Czarnecki (If you fished at the Oak or visited this site much, I'm sure you've seen or know Paul) Tough weekend of fishing due to our abundance of warm water but some guys managed to get 'em.
  14. I am checking out at Narby's when in walks a lure rep for the smaller lures that the paint comes off of (need I say more) LMAO!!!!! I love it! You'd think that they could get that problem corrected somehow by now!!! Won't buy 'em, won't fish 'em. Used to until I'd find a hot pattern, catch 3 or 4 fish on it and now all the paint is gone and it won't catch another. NO MORE!
  15. I haven't been up in a while but "At the Oak" has an enormous number of mentions for anything in the 42nd spoon & Spin Doc/fly
  16. MAG Silver Streak Ole Yeller. Always the first in the water on the deepest rigger. Catch fish on that spoon religously...
  17. Its right in the manual, 46 A 1.2: Don't get married so you can spend all the money you want on fishing gear.
  18. Isn't it kind of like a flasher in front of a fly? The flasher representing the gamefish and the fly the prey item? That's always seemed backwards to me too, but it sure does work...
  19. How about a 35.46#er off Port Credit on the north shore...
  20. 40 would be cool! I am still hoping for the 30# fish I hope to get last weekend in August...
  21. Nice tank in the bottom pic!
  22. Wow, I actually got something right with the PROs. I agree with the 39 degrees. 2 springs in a row, that is where we found matures. Last 2 fall outings we found teens in the 48 to 55 range and vapor water from 42 to 48 and matures from 39 to 42. Got to go DEEEEEP.
  23. Look at the GOSD board only 4 days in!!!! http://www.sportsmensshows.com/cgi-bin/ ... age=report
  24. How 'bout another 30#er and a 31#er from the north shore??? Here's the 31#:
