The Garmin Echomap 93 and 94 chirp series have performed well for me. Garmin is reasonably priced and very easy to use. Like you, I fish Erie and Ontario, and mainly troll. I don't know about Garmin customer service, as I've never had issues. I use sideview and downview occasionally, but most of the time I rely on the chirp mode............. Been a Garmin fan for years. -
Kicker motor upgrade. Any advice

I have run a 4S Mercury 9.9 off a small dedicated fuel tank on an 18' aluminum boat for 5 years, without any issues. The engine was a Craigslist purchase, and I probably put 100-125 hours a year on it. My only minor complaint on the 9.9 Merc is noise and vibration. It's louder than the 4S 115 Merc on the boat...... If doing it again, I'd get a Yamaha. -

tougher for us today...….. 5 kings and a lost brown from 125 - 175. West of the creek..... temp went deeper, current got less. Biggest fish today was 12ish lbs, and we had a treble break off of a tournament tied fly to lose our only major of the day. Pulled at 9:45 to miss the ____show at the ramp. Happy 4th folks...…. enjoy the day and breath good air. -

For you guys who regularly fish Oneida.......... On Western Lake Erie, they throw weapon rigs with small crawler pieces during these hatches and catch fish. Ever try this on Oneida? Lots of stuff out there on weapon rigs. https://www.outdoorhub.com/how-to/2011/06/20/weapon-rig-walleye-101/ https://lakeerieguide.com/lake-erie-charter-rates/lake-erie-walleye-charters/lake-erie-fishing-techniques/ https://bskustomlures.com/collections/crawler-harnesses/products/bs-walleye-weapon-style-rigs

Good fishing for us today. 3 majors, 2 juvi kings, one shaker and 2 steelhead, and we probably dropped 4 fish. 250 - 300 fow out of Sandy. We took fish on both spoons and spinny fly...….. riggers, cheaters, diver rods all took fish. 160 on the wire divers, and 35 to 60 down worked on the riggers. 2.3 - 2.5 MPH. Quit fishing at 10:30. Flat water, nice breeze, good company, great day...………….

Blue spoons with pink or orange ladderbacks have had their moments on steelhead for me over the years. A blue NK28 with tape, Dreamweaver SS in Coyote, or Yecks version of coyote..... -

Thank you to any members in Law enforcement
Traveling Circus replied to Hachimo's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Here's an idea.... the title of this thread is Thank you to any members of law enforcement. Dude....If you want to start another topic go ahead...… but respect the concept that there are many people who value the service that law enforcement provides, and that many people realize their job is difficult to perform in the climate of the moment. You might consider leaving the crime ridden metropolis of Ovid to visit Buffalo or Rochester during one of these protests and report back on what you saw...… on your own thread of course. Again, Thanks to the men and women in blue. -

As the salmon move out deeper - launching question

Fishing out of the Oak vs Braddocks might save you a mile, if you're running to 400 fow....... So it's really not that significant. The Navionics web app is helpful for investigating at stuff like this....... -

I've stopped chasing walleyes out of PB and the Catt until late June ........... Just seems like I can't find a reliable daytime bite until then. The good news is that perch fishing out of the Catt has been excellent this season.
