  6. And the retirement incentives were paid out by Patterson with who's money? The same extra money we paid for sporting licences?....the same money that got us threatened with state park and access closures?....my guess is they will steal the surplus environmental fund for who knows what! Glad I'm not interested in being an en con officer with nothing to enforce. Who's gonna be buying overpriced licenses to fish and hunt for nothing?....oops...did I just mention more cuts in enforcement? [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  8. OK, the official happy birthday to you muskybob. Now go get a good Adirondack "bake" on, and try that hallucination flashback...anyways It's suppose to be medicinal. Ask Dr Jim Beam if It's not true! Mark [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  9. Absolutely fantastic storyline! Felt the "air" as I was following your account of all the trials of hunting your dream buck. Congratulations! Mark [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  10. Commendments to you for telling your story. It is true what you said about when it would happen. Last year was one of my worst luck seasons I ever had. It still bothers me today. One like yours took off with an arrow, not even sure if the hit was good because of distance and a very small window through the woods. Should have been able to find the arrow with the laser nock glowing if there was a miss or pass thru but nothing. No arrow, no blood, no hair, no hoof digs...circled for hours looking for sign. Nothing. Then last day of muzzle loader, I shoot a doe and it runs away, blood trail seemed fair but it ran into an overgrown field and became lost in the golden rods. Blood ran to specs in about 300 yards. Then gone!...was trying new salons from hornady and found out later on that although they were accurate, they did not open up well and probably passed thru without much upset. It happens. And it happens even with bullets. When is the operative word. You will redeem yourself and the sting of it will lessen on a more fortunate day for you. 14. Wow,nice buck!...hate those long minutes waiting for the right shot. Standing in range, full draw, trying not to breath, wobble, shake, blink, eyes watering, gotta pee, etc etc. Buck probably thought the sound of the arrow in the grass was a nut or Apple falling for him to eat...curiosity got the better of him to see what he missed..came back....bad idea for him! Great story!...reminds me of last years episode. Only mine was not so curious..still running I think LOL..deerless again. Mark [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  17. Was Stan secretly fishing in Lake Superior?....I know he was trying to fish deep somewhere. So that delta sub showed up on his screen. He added glow lights for attraction just before he hooked the Fitz with his downrigger balls. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  18. Come on! The appliances are worth more than 900 bucks...it really only needs a new roof to be a great camper on a worthy truck. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  20. I considered that as well ... now I'm back out on the road and missing the rest of the bow season. I guess I will have to rely on you guys for testing hats and quiver and otherwise mounts. Wish I was able to at least do the laser nocks..Mark [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  21. Almost ranks up there with breaking ice on lake Ontario....who did that?..ok ok...Mick made me do it..lol [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  22. I actually considered that Shadster, I wasn't sure of the field of view and where exactly to mount the camera on my hat that wouldn't be cockeyed or looking another direction and miss the subject. I think I will experiment with that at some point. Anywhere on the bow will be very jerky at best. Mark
  23. Well... visuals are in the eye of the beholder...and you said you STILL have your toy lawn mower
  24. If we told you yes will you want one then? or just "LEAVE" them for the rest of us.
  25. Almost this morn..buck walked behind me and kept moving in the brush, not in my shooting lanes but in range. Then 7 does came into my shooting lanes from behind and I was waiting to see the monster stepping close behind but no such thing. camera was running and next so were the deer ...they must have went for army training to come in in wide flanking recon somewhere. As I was picking the best "big doe" shot ....one came from directly behind me and spotted my movement. ....too many eyes. Hope for this afternoon or tomorrow morn, after that it's back to the 6X8 box down the road again . Mark
