  1. great report fellow Lyntukian. That sun was brutal out there I bet, I know it was for me doing honey do around outside the farm. Now maybe, just maybe I'll be able to go out there and put the heat on the fishing Mark
  2. Happy birthday Mick, too hot to fish so drink a beer or two or six, , Ya need help yet? Mark
  3. What was that sound?......oh man, a horse just fell outta the sky....I think the "Pegasus" just had it's wings clipped.
  4. Does that help with your reception?
  5. It is State park so they charge 6 dollars I believe like all the rest. However, I think if you arrive at the park before 6am you might get in before the fee collector is in the booth, not sure. Are you still in Webster? just wondering why Golden Hills is closer than the Oak for you is all.
  6. Launch is nice, has a long L shape dock and concrete ramp. I launched a 22 foot boat there no problem, but that was back last spring. pretty large parking area. Narrow passage out to the lake a bit tight for two large boats to pass. Not sure of the water level right now so I'm not sure if that is an issue. Mark
  7. Nice fish Stan, two kings and two trout? Cool gps sonar combo you got there. Looks like the water level is down about 50 feet. Mark
  8. Sometime I think I could use a backhaul out of California. Put the whole rig in the back of the 18 wheeler and ride along to NY. Rates are reasonable, LOU members take up a collection for the get Stan to the big "O" fishing epic adventure tour. Mark
  9. Don't over smoke the fillets. Just a couple pans full of chips in the beginning is good. too much will give the product a bitter taste. I like alder or apple chips for fish. It's a little milder than Cherry or Hickory. Mark
  10. I never had a roller trailer but I like the bunk. I think if you launch and pickup alone you will come to appreciate the boat staying on the trailer till it gets in or out of the water. Better weight distribution on the hull too. Mark
  11. Nice report, bad about the truck. I know how that feels Mark
  12. Nice nice nice......did I say nice?. Can't wait to get home and burn some drag Mark
  13. He got spanked finally, GOOD, I think one was the same as the other, (split personality)
  14. Did it talk and spill the beans where all the salmon are? Air boarding probably would have worked better I think
  15. It' a good idea if you can't swim and you are likely to be thrown overboard for some reason. What does it have to do with the size of the boat. People come up missing from cruise ships cause they went overboard, and just because it is during the winter months does not mean you will survive hypothermia if you are wearing your PFD, it only means you be floating dead instead of sunken dead in 5 minutes..(good for the family and friends). If you go out in frigid temps you probably should take the common sense measure to purchase and wear a cold emersion survival suit. It's like I said why do we wear a seat belt in any car at any time. If they are going to make a law at least have it make sense, if it for safety and survival. This is more about NY trying to settle the deficit on stupid laws to write tickets for than it is for our safety. Any way, I'm glad I have a 22 foot boat instead of a 21 foot boat cause I'll be safe if I fall out without my PFD , especially in the winter months DUH
  16. Ahem........your post the 7th .... sonny boy the 9th viewtopic.php?f=3&t=12698 Spin doctors in green crush glow. OR Pro troll E-chip 11" pearl tape on white.
  17. Nice Mike! Bet their moms are proud of the fishy smell on their shirts A little slime and a big smile
  18. We should only have to wear seat belts if we are in a car with a wheelbase less than 100 inches, (yugo), (smartcar), (aveo), etc etc, and only during the winter months cause it might be cold outside when ya go thru the windshield What a stupid idea....guess the PFD will keep us warm somehow and we won't freeze to death
  19. Great pics Stan, wish I couldda went north instead of south. Don't eat the caviar, make spawn sacs out of it Mark
  20. Very, Very nice, Ray . Job well done to Jerry A heartwarming story, may her dad rest in peace in the halls where salmon and fishermen meet. Mark
  21. Happy hatch day OMGANOTHERFATBALDONE, or baldy for short. hope ya get another blowup doll for two more lines Mark
  22. Hey...it's better than holding a skunk It was a good time with gramps though I'll bet Way to go Stan! Mark
  23. I use a Lowrance H2O color unit for a backup and for a reference while in full sonar mode on my combo unit. It has the interface with the computer and you can get full charts or topo maps of all the US. Also doubles for good geocache and route monitor for the roads. Cigarette lighter plug keeps it going all day. 2 AA (alkiline) batteries will run it for several hours. I've had it for four years and no problems, however sometimes it takes a while to get the initial fix on a position. Suction cup mount from Ram mounts holds it firm to the windshield even in the roughest conditions. 24. I want to get input on a new program designed to make fishing more e"fish"ent. I submit that we should be able to receive from the government a cash incentive for better performing equipment. Cash for clunker spoons should be implemented immediately to stimulate the e"fishency" of the trolling deeper into depth program. Everyone who is experiencing hardship with the Obama spoon should bring them in and get a cash reward that will far exceed the asset value of the spoon, thereby re-establishing the best known part of the operation of the government....THROWING GOOD MONEY AFTER BAD... or vice versa.
