  4. Fish the shallows just west of a trib. 5 to 15 fow. Where there is a cove or gravel bar creating a natural barrier that collects the warmer trib water and holds some color. Use stealth, troll quiet, long lines and light line, planner boards. Be ready for kings on the prowl looking for emerging bait. Early morning, and evening low light. It's a small area and Too many boats or passes will kill it. Or troll for lakers midday until it quiets down again. Works for me! Sent from my SM-N900P using Lake Ontario United mobile app

No good at mo - jo or ju -ju, or a anything to do with superstitious crafts of a witch, so I just B I T C H!..that sometimes works, however, leaving the tackle box home, or forgetting the plug automatically expels all bad luck. 11. I have had a black box for years. I can't say it hurt anything, however I can't say that it helped the fish bite better. Sometimes I think it does, when the fish hang in the zone of the riggers for long periods of time (seen on the sounder). Maybe they will be enticed to strike. I can say though, that if you have negative energy on your wires to the downrigger ball, caused by galvanic action between steel and lead in water, and possibly DC voltage leaking, sometimes common with aluminum hulls, then the box will help counter the issue with positive charge. Test your wires with a meter while the rigger weight is in the water at typical depths of fishing. If it shows a negative charge you need the box for balance. It can help to keep fish near your lures on the riggers. Some say that the fish become very uncomfortable in negative charge and the closer you set the lures to the field, the more they sense the negative charge. Commercial boats have used them for years, so they must have some merit. I can test the charge at any time by switching the box to static charge reading. If it is low or negative, I apply some positive to the wires, all of the wires get the charge. Some days are different than others on static reading. I assume it's to do with the mineral and biological makeup of that column of water I'm in for the day. But test your wires in the water to be sure you don't have massive negative ion going on. A mutimeter set on milivolt, positive probe on the wire, negative probe on the battery ground or ground on the hull somewhere. Hope it helps! 12. In some cultures, they DO eat the whole fish... So the little microscopic tags that the fish received from the hatchery are inside the Gizzard of some of these folks who eat fish head soup! Think of what that could mean!? Just don't eat the fish heads, you will be fine...unless you like the government tracking you "naked" all over! 18. Dylan, I usually prepare my fish with a fillet knife...how does that work for ya! LOL. .just busting bud! Rat Tail file and a ceramic rod or sharpening steel, then buffing compound on a bench grinder buff wheel. Just a suggestion..for you to try.
  19. Now as I rechecked it...Yes! Chinho! It does have an adipose fin..if from Ontario it could be natural spawn, but not entirely sure what year this fish is in.
  20. Coho, tail spots upper half, black gums...another couple inches would be yummy!
  21. Glad to hear the news! Way to go Jay!
  22. That is a very good and popular termination on the ends of the copper. Crimps done carefully can be very trusty, and doubling them can be a safety feature in case of one that might let go. A lot of reels take the extra bulk of crimps or haywire into consideration now. Most of the high capacity reels are designed for copper with large line guides, knowing that it will most likely be used in a copper wire setup. That's a good thing!
  23. A...yes, hook it to your bad tooth and throw the lure in the water, wait for a 30 lb king to grab and run. Better than the dentist! More fun too!B Depends on if your from Lyntucky. Lots of folks missing teeth from doing A!
