The feds, in particular, Fienstien, are building government contracts to buy ammunition (supposed homeland security, military etc.) from the manufacturers and basically keeping them too busy to produce commercial ammunition for retail. The object is to create a scarcity of ammo at your retailers and panic the consumer into believing that there will be rare occasions that the particular caliber they are looking for will be on the shelf, and in turn pay MORE for it when it ACTUALLY appears in just two boxes on the shelf.. MAXIMUM, because the store restricts it per person, and it is that rare opportunity....price goes up...taxes get applied at a higher rate...whollla!..Feds get rich and we get screwed again. There is also volatile metal pricing on the markets right now and that will cause a swing in prices for brass cartridges especially. Government contracts always come first before commercial, I experienced the same problem with electronics service from Raytheon during the Iraq war. I had a LORAN by Raytheon and could not get service due to government contracts taking precedence for guidance control on Patriot missiles.

KUMHO Radial 857 tires feature blackwall styling and are available in Q-speed rated 82-series, Load Range D (65 psi) Euro-metric Commercial sizes for 14" wheel diameters. This is the tire I may give a try, they are d rated weight capacity and the q speed rating means they are rated for 99 mph. Radial should save fuel. The higher d rating will let you bring pressures up and that will help with the cupping problem. Can't give actual experience with them but this is a tire with the d rating in a 14 size. Mark

I just add the cubed salmon to the end of the Sautee of Bacon veggies and potatoes done in a large skillet. Cover and simmer for a bit and then add the skillet to a large stock pot and add the milk and cheeses, let it heat through and stir on low heat. The fish cooks the rest of the way in the pot if not done in the skillet. Not sure what Bob recommends, but it works for me. I also spice up a little heavier cause I like old bay and it gives a bit of bite I like. Mark

You will be a very mad indian if you use Power pro for your dipsy during flea season. In case you haven't experienced those little b sterds yet, you will know what I mean when they cling all over the braid and jam your guides full with a salmon on. You will not be able to reel it in! Use Malin or Torpedo 7 or 19 strand 30 lb wire and the fleas will be less trouble. There is a braid that works ok also but it is not power pro. It is Fireline Fused Original in grey. 30 lb has worked well for me for a couple years and it does about the same as wire s far as depth and flea control, without the kinky problems of wire. The fireline is a very slick braid, and only the original in grey color works to keep fleas off. Mark

Favorite vs worst fishing conditions
skipper19 replied to DJ 17's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
I wish the weather was all that keep me from fishing on any day I have off. I do however prefer a day without rain..no cabin..hate cold rain on me, don't like wearing rain gear, can't bring myself to fish buffy style like our friend Ray K...brrr cold rain. Don't like 90 degree, no wind , middle of the day either. Holiday weekends with the Griswold families at the launch are not my favorite time either...not that, that is weather related, but however,.. NOW the cold rain has an advantage for me. Best weather conditions for me, outside of ME being comfortable, are morning sunrise with clouds hanging over land, lake clear overhead, good color in the water, no wind or a slight south west breeze that has prevailed for 2 to 3 days, and it's a weekday. Afternoon trolls are very productive for me when the day has been bright and a chop on the water, I will run offshore, and find the scumline, and the wind dies down about 6 pm to dusk where the salmon and trout are coming back from their ice water mansions looking for an evening meal of suspended Alewife, and hatching flies in the scumline. A peaceful time on the water as the sun sets low on the lake and the colors just bring a calm to ones soul....... whine of the rigger cables, wind playing tunes in the taught fishing lines, rippled water surface lapping on the hull, watching bubbles and swirls behind the boat, as I ease back in the helmseat, and gaze at the sky turning that deep blue over head and blending to a dark purple to the east as the sun just touches the western horizon and sends beams of COLOR across the lake surface directly towards my boat, and beckons me to troll in it's direction for that last hit of the day before running to port. BUT those two young blondes, well....in my mind, as I sit here, dreaming of those perfect evenings, are......months away!...Ok back to reality, and just fishing, cause it ain't happenin' that way, they better get licenses and a few more rods in the water Mark -
Cher and I will be there, Mick is tagging along, see you there! Mark

Good post Dave!...I tried the same setup. Took a short cut and used Cher's paper towel holder from under the kitchen cabinet and the trays from the freezer. Works good but I guess I might catch he!! When she wants her frozen margarita, and I might need some paper towels for the bleeding...OUCH!..ok...ok...I'll put them back.. Mark

FAILURE TO MAINTAIN SUCH INSURANCE SHALL RESULT IN THE IMMEDIATE REVOCATION OF SUCH OWNER'S REGISTRATION, LICENSE AND ANY OTHER PRIVILEGE TO OWN SUCH FIREARM. Guess the pinhead thinks the Constitutional rights are a "privilege"...and who is going to revoke a registration that isn't there. No registration...no insurance. Just like a non licensed driver, but less dangerous.

Well, that was a good find!..thanks for bringing that to our attention. I will be writting Senator Maziarz in my district who also sponsored this bill. Thanks! Mark

https://usjf.net/2013/02/disarming-americas-heroes-2/ If you are a veteran, you may have already gotten one of these nice VA letters. If you are not, could Americans on Social Security see one? More backdoor ways to trample your liberties and ignore even the 5 th amendment. This administration thinks there is no constitution. Just more evidence that paints a broader focus on all of your rights being ignored....EVERYONE!...GUNS OR NO GUNS!...it's a trend, and not good.

Sometimes ...aw crap!...Load is ready gotta go drive the big truck..Later!...VRRRROOOooooom! bye

A reel expert can tackle anything. Anything can tackle a reel expert. Can a reel expert tackle anything? Can anything tackle a reel expert?

Trollmaster on mine (9.9 Yamaha 4 stroke) for 4 years, only once after a year, the servo motor went bad and I called the company. A very nice lady directed me to the tech department and they knew it was the servo, so the OWNER of the company spoke to me and apologized for the issue, which I thought was not even necessary for something that happened after one year, but he said he was sending me a new, updated servo. Next I was back on with the nice lady who answered first and she took my address and then said it was on it's way. I was ready to give my card over the phone but she said not to worry, it's covered. Next day it's in my hand...FREE shipping overnite...NO charge...I was very impressed and was able to fish a tournament the very next day! I will be buying from that company again and recommend them to anyone. 1st class all the way Mark
