  1. I think it depends on your drags and releases. I like to use 8# floro but I keep my drags somewhat loose and never clip my leader line in my releases.

  13. I'd say keep it simple. What has been your comfortable (no tangle) spread on the finger lakes? Chances are, a very similar spread will work on the Big O
  14. Pre-fishing for the Pro-Am my buddy Jeremy Cecce brought a Spydro CAM to field test. I was amazed at how small it was! We connected a leader bw the dipsey and cam, then another between the cam and Carbon 14 Moonshine Mag. Check out all the lookers as we were letting the dipsey out. You can hear the wire in the 2nd video where the fish hits and starts taking drag. https://www.jcoutdoors.net/ https://www.facebook.com/jmccecce IMG955103.3gp
  15. Nice job! We found a spot on Friday around 140 FOW that was holding salmon. We beat it up Saturday AM to boat 3/4 2 year olds. Our GPS looked much like yours working that point and our 5th and 6th pass came up empty with no hits as temp moved higher. Seeing the boats in close we trolled south to see what was happening. Trolling all the way in to 30 FOW I saw no marks or bait so we pulled and ran for a 10 pt laker. We boated our laker shortly after setting down then pulled and headed back in shallow for browns setting our spoons on the bottom hoping to pull a brown out of those rocks. I later realized the browns were on top in the warm water. So we weighed our 3 salmon and came in the middle of the pack at 59.30 We had a lot of fun in our first Pro-Am and are looking forward to next year already. Congrats on your 3rd Place finish! How much did 1st and 2nd payout?
  16. Nice job putting a big smile on the face of that little one! I think you need some more spoons!

  19. My twin nephews are in town from down south so we took a quick evening troll to see if we could find some fun. Launched out of Dean's and trolled with the waves zigging in and out of the 80' shelf running 3 riggers and 2 short cores. Both nephews and my 4 year old each reeled in their first laker and were all kinds of excited as they each reeled in their "monster fish". I think I have a good supply of fishing buddies in my future! Also included a pic of another crew in case they're here.
