  1. All the sudden the reports either stoppped or are very vague. Must be alot of fellow anglers have "hot spots" or hot programs" that they think will put them on the board for the Red Cross Derby this weekend. I don't blame you but I just thought it is funny to see how tight lipped people have become. Good luck to everyone this weekend. I'll be hitting cayuga hard this weekend w/ my crew. Hopefully last weekends programs will hold up w/ only minor tweeking. I'll be on 68 all weekend.
  2. As a business owner, I see this all the time w/ vendors I deal w/. I don't think they realize by doing this how much future business they loose and it is obviously an immeasurable number. Personally I will spend more money for an equal product if I know the service is superior. All I can say is BigJon. They have a tried and true product and they do not change alot of parts w/ different models.
  3. can you give the base dimensions?
  4. I thought it was a 4 rod person rule, I've been running 3 rods per person all season. ---Just Kidding---- Thanks for update and everybody have a safe 4th! Mower
  5. MikeyP, are you fishing this weekend? Give me a shout if your up. Mower
  6. Sunday 11:30 or noon works for us. Let me know?
  7. The last few weeks I've lost some top end on the boat and could not figure out why? The boat started good ran good just wouldn't break 4000 rpm and alittle sluggish getting up on plane. Had my buddy schedule a complete tune up. Plugs/wires/cap/rotor/ compression test/ oil change/ new fuel filter etc. Come to find out my air filter was plugged w/ the cotton crap that blows off the trees at Myers point. I mean I could have made a pair of socks w/ the amount of cotton that came off. Long story short for the guys who's boats stay near the lake and have i/o or inboard check your air filter. You might be surprised. I will be stuffing rags in my vents when she is sitting for the week and not fishing. Watch out now I'm running 100% for the red cross (knocking on wood) as I type. Mower
  8. I guess it's time to start running the big boards w/ jail razor wire out 300 ft to each side to keep the masses out of my way. Just kidding although the big boards will be out. The fishing close is spotty and what I mean is if you find a good spot stay on it till it comes up dry. Our last trip out we bounced between 70 and 300 and found fish but nothing likes its been. Watch our for the weed clumps the size of trucks out there as well, that will most definitely determine my water to fish.
  9. Boats in a slip at Myers, we're heading North and going to set some where around Miliken and continue on.
  10. I'll check w/ the other half, and push for Sunday. I'll post when we will be there.
  11. RR, I'm in the same boat as you, I'm loosing rpm and speed on top end. I have a mechanic coming down to the marina tomorrow to hopefully diagnose the problem. I told him, don't leave me w/ out a boat for the next two weekends. I figure worse case scenario I can put around w/ the kicker. I'll be on 68 all weekend. everybody have a great weekend, I'll be out all three days and I promised the wife lunch at kidders if anybody wants to join. Mower.
  12. who's fishing the weekend of the 4th. I'm hoping to get a solid 3 days of fishing to fine tune the program for the red cross the following weekend. Mower
  13. Great story and yes I agree w/ the quality time spent. Often my wife and I really only get to talk about things on the boat. The hectic schedules of work weeks just take their toll. She has mentioned more then once that the most relaxing times are when fish only cooperate alittle in stead of alot. Andy you should have called me, I would have let you ride my coat tails and fished the inside or outside of me and the radio could have been your depthfinder/ gps/ downspeed. the only problem is you have to share a few of your secrets to get the boat on the fish? My father does it all the time. Mower
  14. Finger lakes marina on the south side of Myers Pt. Is officially out of ethanol free gas. She is empty and having her tank cleaned on Monday to make the transition to Ethanol Tuesday. We will have to see how the boat likes the change? [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  15. Sounds like you had a day like us. We had a good mix of fish but it was on and off. Long lapses of no fish then 2 & 3 rods going at once then nothing again. We could not seem to stay on active fish. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  16. Sean are you running paying clients or having some fun? I'll be out both days aswell and hopefully some time on Friday eve. I need to make a quick repair on the motor on my boat to combat the ethanol. You can catch on 68 or PM me and I'll pass along the cell number. The last few weeks we've been doing well.
  17. Frisco, Let me know how you make out. Although we've been doing well south, I wife has an itch for some new scenery.
  18. Great Report. We found the same thing from sat to sun. The fishing is defientely changes from day to day. We have been bouncing between the east and west side of the lake when one goes cold. We normally manage to put a program together. I wouldn't give up AES just move around between the depths and you should find something. If your still on the lake this Sat catch me on 68. Mower
  19. Sometimes silence is the best weapon. I can not speak for my fellow cayuga team mates but my Sat was pretty productive. We set up on a "outside the box" program and we had good steady action for most of the morning. I PM'd my results to Lil jake.
  20. RR, We did move quite a few rods Sat Morning fishing 50 to 70ft of water. We did the best of lead core of the big boards. Every rod was moved at least once. Spoons - R&R golden walleye large size off the ball and smaller version on the slider. Ended up running it on both riggers. Stickbaits off the boards. I'm focusing on the silver fish this year.
  21. we must have passed each other a few times we kept making loops there and did ok. Nice report. Problem for us on Sunday was the floating weed piles.
  22. Stoutner, believe it or not I just sent Frisco a PM and said "do I want to help out the Cayuga Team or do I want to fish the skinny water for big Browns for the T-Burg Derby. What a terrible dilemma to have. Hopefully I can boat a big brown right off the bat then move out for those Big lakers.
  23. Seasquirrel, That would be great, I'll make the offer worth your while. PM me if you find them. John
  24. Been running the same Big Jon electric riggers for a while now. This year I am getting slippage when I hit the switch to stop. I have the knob cranked tight. Do the friction disc where out or get glazed like brakes on car? Can I rough them up some how or should I order new? Or maybe this is not the problem? Mower-
  25. it's always fun to have a night like that. Congrats. We've been hitting pretty good south of you and yes once you find a pod them stay on them if there feeding. We spend more time doing circles and catch alot. Mower
