  2. Treadwright.com. Been running them for 5 years now on all of my work and personal trucks. Good bang for your buck! Just ordered 24 of them for many of my plow trucks.
  3. As one who has way too many rods. If I was on a budget, I would keep my riggers always, buy two inline boards for your lead core and invest in two dipsey (wire) rods. Typically my wire rods produce equally to everything else. I would make sure you have heavy duty rod holders for your wire setups. These take hard whacks and their is no stretch to the wire. That being said if you choose to go with a copper set up pay the few bucks extra and get your copper marked at 50 ft increments and go with a 500 or 600. This will allow you to fish it all season. I tie 1ft sections of 50lbs mono at 100ft increments so I can hook them to my planers.
  4. R: that is a great gesture. From what I have heard and seen first hand down in NJ, it is utter chaos. My mother in law lost her home along the Jersey coast. I went down last weekend with two employees, skid steer, mini excavator, 10,000 w generator and enough fuel for us to what needed to be and get back to NY. We worked our asses off, did as much as we could, and could not leave fast enough. The looting is horrible, we had to chain up all fuel and generators raise them into the air in the buckets for the night while we slept in trucks and equipment. I slept in the skid steer and was woken 3 times by guys either trying to steal the unit or siphon fuel! I will be placing an order this weekend with you.
  5. Both have their place. If I had to choose it would be copper. Spend the extra time or money and mark your copper at 50 ft increments so you can fish a long copper setup as a short one during desired times. I personally own 200,300,400,500&600. My 400 and 500 do great during the summer and the 200 and 300 have their place early in the season. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  6. I am anxious for the rig, got to deal the soon so I can be rigged for spring. Another nice thing is the fellow LOU member who bought the boat will fish Cayuga from time to time so I can troll past her and revive the many great memories. I hope the new rig gets along with Lady Cayuga as well as the old one. Good luck to new owner [ Post made via iPhone ]

  8. SOLD 1990 23ft Larson International. Selling the boat as it is time to upgrade, my loss will be your gain. Since I bought this I have spared no expense in maintaining and rigging this boat. You will only need to add water and poles to be fishing. 1990 Larson International walk around cuddy, with a 5.7 V8 repowered over the winter of 2010-11. 1990 Shorelander Tandem Trailer with new tires and all bearings repacked. The boat is equipped with: Big Jon electric dual reel planer mast (3 yrs old), 12 volt spot light wired to the helm for control of direction, Atlantic Towers fishing arch with numerous rod holders (2 yrs old), Big Jon Triple tree rod holders, Big Jon Trolling Bar, 3 Big Jon down riggers 2 have new motors installed ( will also include a working unit for parts), On board charging system for both batteries (2 yrs old), Yamaha 9.9 High thrust kicker w/ elec start & tilt and controls at the helm/ plumbed to main fuel tank., Troll master installed to fine tune your speed(both 2yrs old). Raymarine Sport Pilot installed will run both I/O and Kicker (2yrs old). Depth Raider installed 3yrs ago. Raymarine E-7 Depthfinder /ChartPlotter installed 8months ago. Hummingbird 780 Depth finder and Gps installed 18months ago. Stereo Speakers installed 8 months ago. Boat has a mooring canvas, cockpit canvas and bimini top with front/side and back curtains. Improvements and maintenance: Motor was repowered and completely gone over. Out drive was dropped and all cables and bellows replaced. New Quick Silver shifter with extreme bend cables installed all winter of 2010-11. Winter of 2012 boat was 90% re-wired. All accessories were wired to new fuse panels or breakers (Done by Kevin Jerge). New seat cushions all done with in the 2 yrs. Boat was professionally bottom painted( we kept it a hoist the last 2 years). As you can see this boat is set up to fish and meticulously maintained. My only reason for selling is my wife would like something a bit bigger. We spend a good amount of time on the lake and more room would be a plus with our two dogs and guests otherwise I would fish out of this for years to come. About the boat, it cruises nicely at 30mph and maxes out around 42 to 44 depending on gear and fuel. The kicker will push the boat from 1 mph to about 7 mph. As for the fishing it is set up to give you as room as possible with gear completely out of the way. You can ask most guys who fish cayuga, this boat catches fish. It is a pleasure to clean with fiberglass floors, and gunwales. The wash down works great. Feel free to ask questions or for more pictures. ( I am removing the 3 cannon riggers and putting the big jons back on) unless we negotiate them into the deal. Boat is presently in my driveway and will be winterized with the next week. I can offer free indoor storage this winter to the buyer. Upon a deposit for the boat I will start the boat and run it with muffs for the buyer and rewinterize as part of the sale. Asking Price $12000.00
  9. Long shaft, go with a high thrust version. The over sized prop makes a huge difference. 9.9 high thrust Yamaha pushes my 23 ft fiberglass boat in the worst winds [ Post made via iPhone ]
  10. Call your local Japanese restaurant and see if they will buy your lamprey eels? At least you can put some $$$ in your pocket! [ Post made via iPhone ]
  11. As I read your story, I am laying here in bed at camp, listening to the waves hit the shore and my two labs Maggie and Gigi lay next to the bed almost on top of each other they are so close. I look at them passed out from retrieving earlier. My oldest Maggie lays their dreaming- legs moving and little chirps of a bark. Gigi is just content to sleep by her big sister. I know both of them will have their day and your story makes me appreciate them all the more. My dogs thankfully are water dogs and often lay in the cuddly while trolling only to get up for a drink, the rustle of a sandwhich wrapper or clean the blood off the floor. I have lost great dogs too and it gives me fond memories to think of the stuff we have been through. I offer my sincer condolences for your loss and thank you for reminding all of us how precious our pets are. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  13. Wanted to let everybody know about the sportsman's show in Whitney Point this Weekend. Saturday 9 to 5 Sunday 9 to 3. I spoke to one of the organizers and it will double in size from last year. Dave from R&R will be set up with some new products. (FYI the new attractors he is now producing, really hit the nail on the head). I have been lucky enough to fish them as "proto-types" and now, they do catch fish.
  14. I picked up two of these from H V & S at the watkins glen show, they ordered for me. I am A huge roller rod guy and these are a good bang for the buck. When convectors are worn out I will replace them with these. I love the 10 ft'rs I have for my high divers. [ Post made via iPhone ]
  15. What is the loaded weight of the boat not including the trailer? How many hours on the motor? Any overhauls mechanically been done lately?
  16. Here is my personal opinion on this rule. Due to the size of the "potential" prize and the fact that the town of lansing has it's name associated with the tournament, the attorney's had to get involved to protect the interests of the town. I believe this rule was put in place to avoid someone coming back and suing the town if we had a fatality during the tournament. I believe as anglers we should use our best judgement. FYI My wife will be fishing with me (and she in a municipal attorney so keep the jokes to dull roar) and I know she will probably not be wearing a life jacket. That being said lets all be safe and have a great time!
  17. Yes. Any proof of payment should be fine along with a signed acknowledgement of the rules. [ Post made via iPhone ]

  19. call me, i have 3 of them i pulled off my boat over the winter. i also have extra parts. 6077619818. nothing wrong with other than i wanted something faster and could handle 20 lbs weights. 2 have 4 ft boom, 1 has a 5ft boom for over the outdrive.
  20. Mine works but I am forever splashing water on the antenna? I spoke with Matt and he asked for pictures. I told him it worked to 150ft down but the connection at the antenna dries up. Also when I first deploy the probe and the cable is dry I have to keep on splashing it on the way down or send it down deep then bring it back up to search for temps. In my opinion it is not worth the money.
  21. inform chad lapa the LOU creator. when I have had issues with posting info or less then friendly people I let the owners decide what should be done.
  22. Let's hope people are interested. It would be nice to have the town of Lansing benefit from this tournament. After all so many guys who fish Cayuga use the town launch as well as they have been more than accomidating with past tournaments.
  23. Do you know what the loaded weight of this boat is?
