    Ugh! Went over checking everything except cleaning out the lines... Blew a compressor through it and voila it's fine... Little junk in the line. Odd that it wouldn't affect it at low speeds

    That's a great idea! Better than drilling. I did find the holes jimski was talking about. Going to try to use the holes and then if that fails will try the bracket idea.

    anyone got a pic of the there honda kicker hooked up with one of these set ups. I already have the straight rod panther style but can not find a logically place to hook it up. There are no holes on the handle and no tab underneath to put the male piece to hook up to?

    Yeah man there is a 90hp 2003 4 stroke merc on cl for 4k and if you found a theft crestliner already just start the search for another with a side console.

    I don't think it would be to bad on time but if I understand you correctly you want to strip your boat to stock up the other one? If it was me I would sell your boat complete and buy a motor boat seats electronics etc with the proceeds from your boat. I find that most people wouldn't want to buys yours stripped.

    I don't think you can beat the one in Darien... 4k seems pretty solid

    Completely understand how a water pump works. There is no alarm as its a 15hp. The topic surrounds more of issues with transom height. The motor works fine on my main boat and other boats I have used with it it at low and high speeds.

    I use this site to find a boat on craigslist http://www.adhuntr.com/ then hit north east and then you search with in a search radius of your liking. I have gone all the way to conneticut for a boat though...

    well i guess i only go to canada once a year so not really worried about it

    so i just took my johnson 15hp short shaft to canada and put it on a 14ft aluminum standard transom. My motor pumps water great at low and high rpms in neutral. Then I take off and everything is good unitl I get on plane at full speed. Then it shoots strong for a second then sputters then real strong then sputters. I never overheated it as I always monitor my tell tale. It pumps excellent as my kicker, What do you think it is? trim it down? transom height? longer shaft?

    i believe the 9.8 and the 15 are the same motor with different carbs. the 6 and the 8hp are the same as well. Could be wrong but...

    Yes it would be perfect.. Little known fact is tohatsu makes Nissan and mercury under 20hp as well. Good little motors with out the extra price.

    Yes iron head I have it just didn't take a pic of it. Meals... They do show that type of receptacle in my manual and honda says I am supposed to have that type

    Thanks irond head.. Yes I have the same cable but not the same plug... As you can see in my above pictures of the plug I have. I figured I must have had the wrong cable. Does honda make an adapter piece for my plug or something. Boats.net said that is the only type of plug. If everything else fails I will use meals approach and return the cable.

    Yeah I got the male too... Then lets start with how my charging cable connects to the male? I thought the male was just there to protect the female till you bought charging cable

    See I have that piece and that square piece is supposed to plug into it... Just can't figure it out
