if you have the bay star unit, stinger will have to upload his engineered bracket to link the two together as my computer is not letting me save the images from the pm he sent me
ok, so you never actually used the adapter that marine tech makes? it was my understanding that picture you showed was the set up for cable steered boats and the shaft on baystar doesn't move enough to hook it up that way but I will give it a try

Yeah I have done that but like I said most pictures are for the "seastar unit" and not the bay star (under 150hp). Called seastar and they told me to call marine tech, called marine tech and they had no clue what baystar is.. ugh
I am upgrading my steering to hydraulic on a 125hp merc and currently I have an EZ steer which will work but I don't like having the tie bar behind the motors. I would prefer it in the front so I can detach if needed. My question is anyone have ideas on how to do that? I believe baystar has a connection tie but don't think it works on the baystar (up to 150hp) kits. I also don't want to drop more money on a Garmin tr1 auto pilot kicker or the wireless steering from panther.
