    Sold / Closed 1993 Thompson 260

It says sold on the first post.
  4. Doesn't necessarily add controls but it does allow me to troll a plot created from a chart reader.
  5. Control not necessarily sonar.
  6. So..currently running a Garmin 93svuhd. Went with Garmin due to previous Garmin experience, ease of use, and customer service. Very pleased although the GT54 ducer isn't ideal. Last fall installed a new xi5. Awesome addition but now I would like to run it off the FF. I know Lowrance is my only option. Question is do I switch my Garmin or add a Lawrence specifically for the xi5? Can I run a Lowrance without a ducer for the xi5? Or, run a 2d ducer for the Lowrance just for trolling and keep the Garmin for my bassin days. I know the xi5 has a built in 2D ducer, but I can't imagine that would be able to read bottom consistently when trolling or pick up my downrigger weights. Any thoughts?
  7. If the price is right, I wouldn't hesitate with the 90. Is it underpowered...yep... but it will plane just fine especially if you are alone quite a bit. Also, being a bit underpowered means easier to deal.
  8. Thanks Frogger! Good to know they stand behind their product. I am looking used but if I don't find anything by spring...Amazon it is.
  9. Thanks all! Going with Noco Gen 3 Thanks again.
  10. Thank you for the replies. After a little more research, decided for a 3 bank.
  11. Looking for onboard 2-3 bank charger Possibly a 2 bank dc charger as well. Thanks in advance.
  12. Good trailer
  13. I think the OP is referring to stick baits. I just use Plano boxes.
  14. PM sent
  15. Controls.....most likely. Electrical...a good electrical guy who can read schematics can rig it but it wont be plug and play.
  16. Contact the Antique Boat Museum in Clayton NY
  17. Yep! Replaced them on my Sabre with after market.
  18. Current Venture owner and owned just about everything else over the years. I also worked for a Loadrite distributer for 10 years IMHO...and I know it is just MHO...That trailer was/is overloaded or at the very least loaded incorrectly. Trl Mfg. 99% of the time decline warranty because 99% of the time, the dealer set it up wrong. Type of axle plays a huge role as well. Trailers with torsion axles require a completely different set up compared to sprung axles. Torsion axle trailers need to be tongue light. When tongue heavy, they will bounce resulting in the type of issue you had as well as worn tires. Sprung trailers general rule of thumb is 10% (+or-)total weight on the tongue. That's fine with 3500# but not when your pushing 8k. Then a weight distribution hitch should be considered.
  19. Perhaps. I think I had more weight with the I/O but it was displaced differently.
  20. Had an 88 24' HT. Nice boat but bow heavy and took a lot of water over the bow in rough weather. Go with canvas. JMO
  21. JMO...shorten the platform and install a transom bracket.
  22. I myself never had much luck with either one. But my father always did well with the johnson and porkrind trailer. Me...a top water red&white.
  23. Thanks guys Much appreciated
  24. Thank you Frogger. Can you recommend what area to launch out of? I am familiar with Sampson from camping years ago and the Glen area.
  25. Never fished Seneca but really want give it a shot before storage time. Running out of Rochester with a 19' Aluminum. Just looking for some basic info concerning location. Not looking to invade anybody's honey hole. Thanks in advance.
