  1. I remember the mad rush on cowbells when Roadkill Magazine came out with the recipe to cut the Mirex taste out of Lake Trout fillets.
  2. I suppose there should be a factor measuring the amount of Pennsylvanian anglers on the water during the study.
  3. Mouth of Niagara Nov-April to the shipping channels off the Black River come August/September = approx 4 months??
  4. Question. Why if this tackle show is so popular does it only run for one day and limited hours to boot??
  5. 2.25-3 mph downspeed. Good "cover water" spoon for steel and kings offshore.
  6. Contact the DEC for needed interns to collect data for fish survey.
  7. How do you know they were alewives? Do you have a degree or something? Get the Kaho fired up!
  8. I color the sheathing black with a permanent marker anyway. Good stuff microlead.

    Boat name?

So you definitely can’t name it “Bent Rod” or “Perones”.
  10. Sounds good. My rig is coming with me.
  11. Leave a tag line off your leader swivel and place split shot on tag. If you snag bottom the weights will pull off. Saves crimping and weaken leader. Remember trolling theroy of longer-higher on outside line + shorter-deeper baits on inside lines.
  12. Start high, add weight or diver lips as sun gets higher
  13. I will be down your way for the week of July 4th.
  14. I will plant Wayfair catalogs on your boat to distract them!
  15. Look at those ladies on point! I wish I could get my crew to manage rods like that. What is your secret Rob?
  16. Dave from R&R tackle sent me some pictures of some of his kodiak wobbler patterns, alderton flashers custom painted with a pearl glow, 1.5" mini spoons that would kill on the fingers and Erie. Very impressive.
  17. Can I invite myself onto your boat? You are always on them!
  18. April 1st on Naples Creek.......Get to the river to find a spot on a good pool at 4 am. Wait in the water till legal fishing time. Watch as everyone else enters the water rolling the bank mud into the water clouding everything up. After legal light, enjoy getting your line tangled with the people standing shoulder to shoulder with you as you try to drift a 8' section of water in front of you while hoping the people around you are not belligerent a-holes. NO THANKS. Go the following two weeks and you will be able to find quiet water to yourself.
  19. Cavitation and boat moving effects what you see. You will be shocked how many fish are under your boat when in neutral-not moving esp over deep water.
  20. If I had to pick two....eight and five colors.
  21. Many times they are high enough that they disappear in the surface clutter on your fishfinder. You would have to set the zoom and power to show the top of the graph. I see them in the summer depths on Lake Ontario right before they hit a rigger line so there is nothing magical about them.
  22. I can’t see why having a non-native small population of walleyes in Skaneatles would effect a small population of non-native rainbows. I don’t like the thought of individuals stocking public waters however!
  23. What they are selling at Fat Nancy’s would give you a good indication.
  24. Splash down slated for next weekend. Temp in the 60's. Don't let the snow get you down, get your gear ready.
