  1. Mono to standard leadcore use the willis knot
  2. Negligible pull unless you add an inline planer board. The board is what pulls. With a board involved go with medium action.
  3. Yes, cdq.....I caught them on glow clown J-plugs and silver streak screwball spoons.
  4. Catch and release works! I keep catching them over and over! Do you guy want to know what lures I am using? How about trolling speed?
  5. Decided to take advantage of the nice weather today and launched the Gill-T Hooker with friends. Not much going on along the shore due to clear water conditions. Decided to chase some Lake Trout in the 50' band of water and lucked into a few of these!!
  6. I would make sense to keep them over the winter to poke those pesky coyotes in the arse.
  7. Brian I will try to email them to you. I am having some fun with the new MAC computer sending attachments. I have to convert them to PDF because I don't have Microsoft word. You could also just PM me your address and I will send the form letters via pony express.
  8. If you are looking for added depth it will be cheaper to invest in Mag Dipsys.
  9. First letters going out with morning mail to Gov. Cuomo, and US Senators Schumer + Gillibrand.
  10. Tim is there a minimum water temp requirement in order to take shipment?
  11. Panfisher, to get you up to speed go back to open discussion and scroll down to the thread titled Chinook Salmon "naturalized". http://www.lakeontariounited.com/fishing-hunting/topic/49744-chinook-salmon-naturalized-no-donations-please/
  12. Need those remaining counties represented still. I would like this finished soon so I can go fishing! Time to step up. If you know someone living in those counties give them a poke. Thanks.
  13. The ice is shaped like the wolf that ate red riding hood's grandma. I am starting to hallucinate. Today I fluffed parts of my lawn that was snow-free with a rake....
  14. Wayne and Niagara county represented. Need Jefferson, Cayuga, Orleans yet.
  15. Bonus Ontario County volunteer has stepped up.
  16. Oswego County has been spoken for. Thank you.
  17. Ok, got a Monroe County volunteer. Thank you.
  18. I could use some volunteers that live in the counties that border Lake Ontario. I am going to start sending letters to county and state government representatives and would like the letters to come from residents within those counties as they would have more of an effect. Either PM me your name and address and I will send the letters on your behalf or if you don't feel comfortable with that I will send you the letter and you can send it. Counties include Jefferson, Oswego, Cayuga, Wayne, Monroe, Orleans and Niagara. I think letters should also come from the primary stakeholders such as Charter Associations as well as LOTSA and ELOTSA etc. Letters will also be sent to Anthony Picente Jr. NYS AC president, Governor Cuomo, our members of congress Schumer, Gillibrand,Hanna, Maffei etc. ***Please inform me of what county you represent**** Get'r done
  19. I never had the donation prompts come across my screen as the originator of the petition so I don't know for sure what info was posted, however, I got the feeling that the site was misrepresenting the cause. If people felt they were giving financially to a good cause then the petition site probably was not clear enough of the intentions and direction any donations would go. I felt it sounded slimy and I did not want my name associated with them. I think it may have taken to August before we got 1000 signatures with the rate we were going. Important people saw the post and most of the heavy stakeholders agree with the premise of naturalizing Kings so most of the intended result was achieved. I know some of the DEC and Fish and Wildlife people have been following.
  20. A lot of good discussion has been spawned from this topic and it is clear the primary stakeholders around Lake Ontario are for the proposed changes. I will attempt to do what I can behind the scenes with an understanding that at some point all our voices will need to be heard and I will need your help. With fishing season upon us it will be easy to forget we have one hatchery servicing our Pacific species and it is in a state of disrepair. The DEC needs our help and support. Tight lines Chad
  21. Dots catch fishermen. I like a false eye on my spoons for realism but multiple dots get washed out when the spoon is flipping around. Multiple dots really just are adding contrast. The fish are not going to stop and consider even vs odd number of dots......if its hungry it eats. In high sun and neutral fish I would rather my lure is realistic looking as to not give the fish any reason not to eat it.
