  1. Not a new Cormorant deterrent ??
  2. Term limits
  3. I will leave that one alone….
  4. In a time of reduced nitrogen loading, the Niagara supplies Oxygen-rich, nutrient-laden water to attract baitfish. The evolution of the north shore naturally reproducing kings makes available an offshore fishery well into August.
  5. Oh boy, they are starting to show color! Nice fish.
  6. Please post the results. Thanks!
  7. First light to lines out at 11:00. Four kings and a laker was the take today fishing midwaters. Temp break down around 85’. All spoon bite. Meat went untouched. Flasher/fly went untouched. Custom R&R Kodiak wobbler mags.
  8. Thanks for the report. Heading out of Oswego in the morning so any info is appreciated.
  9. If you are running off the kicker, could your voltage drop too low? Try running with your main.
  10. Some of the spray paints can make your dipsys smell horrible.
  11. I think you shouldn’t be worried about the weather this many days away. You won’t get an accurate picture of Tuesdays weather until Sunday afternoon (if at all).
  12. Hope boat gremlins are not contagious. Here is my list…. -blown impeller -Moor Subtroll probe fracture -two cannons needed motors -points distributor blew apart - upgraded to electronic ignition which then required an ESA module to work with OMC engine. -broken trailer bunk last year (or hopefully not bent axle) led to uneven wear on a tire- replace all four trailer tires I FEEL YOUR PAIN Brian!!!
  13. From a conservation standpoint, how would you tell if you are dragging a small fish with a spin doctor thumping your rigger rod when placed as a cheater line?
  14. Does anyone have a picture of the oak orchard event yesterday that they could post? Thanks in advance.
  15. .......and not in the derby.
  16. They start working about now but really shine inside on staging fish. A July presentation might be a flasher on middle rigger with a shorter set back and then two plugs with a further setback and just above the flasher on corner riggers (outdowns).
  17. This is a simplistic approach that is a needed default selection in heavy surf but does not take into consideration the crazy currents on Lake Ontario (jimski in mostly an Erie guy). If you are always trolling with the wind and waves, you may not be at the right downspeed to make spoons work right. I usually figure out the direction of the down-current and head into it regardless of wind or wave direction.
  18. Oneida lake Mayflys
  19. When you have a big one straight down, you can do two things to get the fish up on top. Speed up the boat and strip line off the reel. The change in angle will make the fish rise with less pressure.
  20. This should give you some ideas. https://bestlure.ca/collections/4-inch-tailless-lures
