I hope not to turn this into political banter but there are a few things we should be paying attention to. Recently, states attempted a land grab and sued the federal government for control over BLM lands. Luckily, the Supreme Court dismissed the lawsuit but it serves notice to everyone to pay attention and not let special interest try to take away what is all of ours to enjoy. Locally, with all federal grants placed on hold, things like the spring alewife survey is at risk. Based on correspondence coming from the White House this week, there is an interest in gutting environmental protections. My take is I don’t want my rigger weights or divers to make a difference so divers are clear and rigger weights are the same color as the water.

Anyone ever try a NWT coangler event? I see they have a stop in Dunkirk in August. For those that have competed, what are your opinions on the tournament experience? -
My recommendation would be to do the old school method of manikins dressed in HUK gear and enjoy a full FUBAR spread.

Three trips out for grouse Zumba sessions this year. Zero birds. Found some aged tracks but nothing to shoot at. Enjoy the exercise and deer scouting while walking but sure would like to see some birds. -
Anyone have any experience with these breakers? Seems like a better option than dealing with glass fuses. -

I changed the inline fuse holders and the problem went away so the resistance angle may be the culprit. Good offseason project to go to a blade style fuse holder

Weather being iffy kept us from going to Ohio. No bother, we stayed nearby and saved some gas money by fishing out of Buffalo.

The way the DEC operates short staffed, they have to investigate an official complaint and usually citations get issued if illegal activity is found. Call it in. There are plenty of places to go hiking. WMA’s are for wildlife and sportsmen
