  1. I believe the typical number ends up being 200,000 atlantics on US side. Really small potatoes given their penchant for poor survival. Chances are if you catch one it is a Canadian plant.
  2. Sounds like disease then.

  4. I believe NOAA closed the blue fin tuna season for 2020 also.
  5. Talora copper rods. They have large stainless guides to help knots pass thru.

They are a bunch of pictures of the boat in slips. Did you used to keep the boat in a slip for the season?
  7. You can clearly see each site represented by a genetic shape to the antlers common to the area taken from.

Hours on the motor? Transom and stringers original? Bottom paint? Great lay out on that boat!
  9. Phew! I was kinda hoping that if you were still out there you could tell me if a mud line had set up.
  10. Did anyone pick up green hornet yet?
  11. Wire to braid segment via improved/modified albright, then braid to mono. Adding mono adds stretch to an otherwise unforgiving wire that does not stretch. The no curly cue to the end of wire is an added bonus.
  12. I don't think I would be canoeing the Genesee with young boys.
  13. How did he get that thru the ice??? I know they are slimy but they must have had to carefully expand the hole exponentially.
  14. If you add water to soup it will dilute it. For phosphorus it is a timing issue. Ohio farmers don't start fertilizing their fields until later in the spring. Dr. Weidel check the phosphorus levels from June thru September data if you have it. The data below shows trends but doesn't tell the story of our high water period. https://aslopubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/lno.10055
  15. There was a mud line and debris field that developed from the currents near the power plant that extended out into the midwaters. Bait and kings used that finger of off-colored water as a highway to move from deep winter pattern into nearshore water all spring long. I never really had to go anywhere but near the power plant all year to find fish.
  16. Thanks for posting. Amazing how you were near two major ports and no boats nearby. The older format of pro/am had no culling allowed.
  17. With high water worries this year you may want to stay with the smaller more trailerable package
  18. I think there is a charter boat in Olcott slip last year with for-sale sign of the size you are looking for.
  19. Olcott has floating docks. You will be able to trailer there despite high water levels. You also should be able to use the Youngstown launch. The fort and Wilson might prove difficult unless they put floating docks in.
  20. I had a group of robins sounding off this morning and I saw some Turkey Vultures. Coming quick. The goal is to get as much fishing in while water levels are good. Not sure I will be able to slip my boat for spring LOC if water levels are to be what is predicted to flush out of the upper lakes.
  21. Bayliner Trophy. Poor man's fish killing machine.
  22. the neighborhood was wondering why I was snow blowing the back yard lol.
  23. Heavily stocked but not sure how hatchery closures will effect. Water is often too high in spring so July should be ok. If your boys can throw spinners on spinning gear, they can catch trout.
  24. Wow!
