    Just a suggestion if going with the quick tarp cover method. Yes use a good tarp. I use a Harbor Freight HEAVY duty tarp on the small boat and put it over a tall PVC pipe “A type” framing going the entire length of the boat to keep any rain or snow from pooling and sagging it. Then I can pull the tarp, lift the framing and the nylon cover is dry and ready to tow in no time at all. There are a lot of frame ideas online. Either way, you should get a good cover to keep things dry. Best of luck.

    These work fine. Greg has put diagram and a video clip in other post. Basically put 1st lure down on your DR weight,then put down a bit and attach the same rod line into the red clip portion, close clip. Attach favorite lure with lead to other end of clip. Basically a fixed stacker until fish is on. Hope this helps. Great guy to deal with.

    This is an absolutely great recipe. Not to spoil the chef’s recipe, but for thicker base try light cream instead of milk and don’t be afraid to experiment adding scallops, clams, shrimp etc. Thank you Bob for many wonderful pots of chowder!
