I had a similar situation happen at bullzeye archery in Bloomfield about an 1hr or so from Hilton. The difference is He replaced the string no questions asked. However my nock Loop was tied on a touch low. So I made the hour drive again and Rich worked with me and the bow for 2 hours resighting, tossed in a drop away for free and then paper tuned to make sure I was 100% happy and had confidence back in the bow before I left the shop. It’s definitely worth the trip for service like that.

Thanks stinger. The more I’m reading, it seems 180gr takes the guesswork out of it. But we will see what results I get. Thanks for the video also. I found a good site ballistics by the inch. They do a range of calibers in a wide range of guns and barrel lengths. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Sk8man, thanks for the info. The gun has a 6.5in barrel and I plan to keep shots 50 yards and under. I’m headed to the range today to put a few boxes through the gun. I don’t plan to use the gun this season as I want to figure out the best round before I hunt with it. I’m also on the fence if I want to scope it just yet. I bought the gun as more of a dual purpose, target shooting and then bring occasionally in the deer woods. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I bought a .357 to bring in the woods with me a few times a year. My question is what’s the best round for deer? it seems split between 180gr and 158gr. So what’s better heavy and slower or lighter and faster. Any input would be great. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Took my son out for the evening hunt and pulled the camera card. Wife said no hunting Sunday morning because we had a baptism, I figured no big deal I have the whole week off. Just behind the doe is a stud standing 25yards from my stand. Almost wish I didn’t pull the card. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I know guys who only trophy hunt and I know guys who strictly feed their family. Some of these guys in great deer areas others in areas with no doe permits....I fall somewhere in the middle. I don’t think we need MORE restrictions and laws but maybe some incentives for landowners who participate in deer management Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
