  6. oh it was 24in u must have miss read the post
  7. Wow!! That seems primitive but I’m sure it was the hottest thing going 50 years ago! I’m sure it still works but it sound like a lot of work and frustration. Thank god for innovative technology
  8. ??perch???
  9. What are they using on that last spindoctor rig looks like soft plastic maybe storm wildeye? or is this just a alewife snagged on a fly wow they sure make it look easy!!!
  10. Please tell me what the Seth green rig is? How do u rig it? Also for you guys that do use the double rig with cranks and spoons do you have problems with tangling up it seams that if you hit a corner the spoon would fall and the crank would entangle??????
  11. Kool thanks for the break down info this sounds like the right release system for me
  12. This might be a stupid question but I’m some what of a newbie! How do you rig the rubber band with the black’s rig and what are the benefits?
  13. I would like to get some professional or non professional opinions on what the best release for all species of fish would be. Last year I used the Cannon clamp style and it worked but it frayed my 10lb test after minimal uses!! Sure use heaver line right! I'm going to stick with my 10lb but possibly try a new style release> This is the one I currently use CANNON Black's Bigjon Any suggestions ?
  14. What kind of plastic are u guys referring to? I myself have caught them on small Mr. Twisters and the 3inch sinkos but have yet to try them on Seneca. I plan on using a spinner rig with float beads #6 bait holder hooks on a 30inch 4lb fluorocarbon with a swivel and Texas rig slide sinker tipped with emerald shiners! This is experimental homemade rig please let me know what you think!!!!!!!! My rigs are similar to these northland rigs!! ///Single hooks and smaller blades I might be putting a little to much thought in to this after all they are just perch!!!! but I want to be as proficient as possible and land some slobs
  15. Has anyone tried Road Runners!!! I found this New rig on their site it looks good I would eat it if I were a perch
  16. I drove 4hrs down to Hamburg PA last weekend it was a huge disappointment DO NOT expect to find a big selection of Great Lakes tackle at this store…… I think dicks has a better selection of spoons, rigger eqip, stickbaits and what they did have on display they did not have in stock such as the three things I went down their for (2 diawa SL17lc, bunk guides for my boat trailer, Lowrance LCX ) but they assured me that they can order these items for me!!! I could have done that from my house!! If you are looking for stripe bass fishing equipment they have ten isles full of lures but salmon and trout forget about it!!!!!!! They have a amazing store filled with just about every dead animal you could think of and some awesome fish tanks but if you looking to find a wide selection of tackle go to Basspro!! “: I do not work for basspro I am just a disappointed customer and these are my opinionsâ€
  17. Thanks for the info I will use it and report back to the thread when I find the perch
  18. No that is a real picture looking upstream from whirlpool taken yesterday iam sure the ice gets broken up a lot in the rapids before it gets down to Artpark I am not a Niagara river expert I just thought you would like to see the picture
  19. 14in JUMBO from Canadarago lake The rig on 6in of ice 200fow Took a picture so I could show the insurance company what condition it was in before it sunk!!! looking south down Otsego lake Otsego laker
  20. FYI this is what it looks like from the top of the Henri_Wrobel building Yesterday looking towards the falls that’s a lot of ice!!!!
  21. Well I guess its true then I have heard the only way to find the perch is to bring 12X binoculars find a boat that’s catching fish and tie off to their bow. But I am not one of them guys so I guess ill figure it out The old fashion way by trial and error
  22. Thinking about getting the boat out early this year and going after some of those Jumbo perch on Seneca for the first time I could really use some tips!! I am thinking glass factory bay will be my main focus because I have heard so much about it and it is the closest for me! So if you can enlighten me on what depth and what bait it will be vary appreciated and probably save me hours of searching.
