  1. Sean - It doesn't seem as though they would just impose the limit on just a section of the lake (s) so I am wondering if this is a general thing going across coounty jurisdictions. Yates is only relevant for the very south end not even reaching the Woodville ramp on the west side of Canandaigua either. The road sign for leaving Yates and entering Ontario is just south of the end of the lake if my memory serves me correctly but I think the east side south end is within it again suggestjng that this may be a multi county ruling or agreement of some kind.

Ha Ha if you guys only new how it worked they don't get together. Just got off phone no speed limit in Schuyler.

You are expected to know where you are at. It just covers that county if you kill yourself flying up the lake.

  2. You should be OK I had some friends out on it yesterday that got blown off Ontario. They did good up on north end, lake is up but not full of crap like the rest of them.

  3. Got one in basement gathering dust never use it! But back in 2006 I took one to owasco dropped it down in the south west corner of the lake and trolled threw a school of bait. Rigg rod starts bumping then taking out drag bring it in top line small mouth next one down walleye then a nice bow, bottom leader had a small laker. Laughed my butt off. They do work but haven't run one since clients don't like them. If I don't book up for the first I'll come play on owasco I got it off now.

  4. For Keuka you will be laker fishing, usually like catching fish in a bucket on Keuka. If you want a good chance at bows, or salmon you would want to slide over to Seneca. If you are OK with catching Lakers in the 2 pound up range then Keuka will be a fun time.

  5.  :) I guess I hope they do a stomach analysis on Sean's fish because he probably froze up that Lake O laker just waiting to enter it in the Seneca derby (one year that actually did happen in the derby by the way but the officials caught it right away)[/quote

Its happens more than once! In my line of work I deal with loads of dirt bags and I've herd of a couple situations where guys won or placed and no one got caught. You could have a tourney for a free happy meal and guys would cheat. But I'm not going to get worked up or even started on that. That's why you just got to go into it looking to have a good time. If everyone was like you outstanding south enders everything would be great OK north end guys also:)

  6. Just substitute pics of us north enders with lakers like that during the derby and you guys will have a real pic

P.S. I don't think I've ever been as excited about a derby as much as this one for some reason :) !

One of many 21 pounders from last week on the big O!  But gives you an idea of what you north end guys will need to beat the south end boats. :)

  7. Nice Mike! The North end boys don't know that the South end guys booked all the slips at Sampson this year:). I can't even count how many times I made the run from Watkins to Sampson last year it does burn some gas. But that's where all the fish are the north end guys haven't learned how to catch them so the population is up on the north end. :). LOL. What I like to call a target rich environment.
