  1. I have caught fish with the over the counter rigs but I think the home made ones are more productive and cheaper. The website below describes the process pretty well. As far as colors, I think different waters have specific colors that are more productive at different times. I don't get to fish Oneida or Owasco very often but I'm sure some of these guys will help you out. http://www.walleyesinc.com/walleyeinc3/howtotie.html
  2. Is your doctor taking referrals?
  3. Those look a lot like the browns from the Wiscoy and East Koy, can't wait for April to get here! I'm happy with 20 in a day can't imagine 75 in 3 hours. Keep up the good work.
  4. Chromeslayer: I don't post often but do read daily. Keep up with the great posts. I live in Youngstown and love hearing about the fishing that I am missing out on. Can't wait for the steelhead in the gorge, I'll be there in the morning. Firstpinohio:If you look over the thousands of posts that are on this website it's mostly fisherman helping other fisherman. There is one member form California that tries the different techniques that we us on the east, and he is successful out west. Rarely, if ever, will you see a negative post. I'm glad to see that you joined this great forum just to express your negative and ignorant comments. Have a great life, may you always be miserable.
  5. Time for one of the new guys to try and stir things up. Is there a chance that this could somehow be related to a pink salmon. We do have them in the great lakes, although the numbers are not that high. Is it possible for a brown trout and a pink salmon to spawn. Just adding some ideas, I can't wait to see what you guys have to say about me now!
  6. Fishing out by the red can this year I caught probably 25% cohos. I didn't fish as much in late August or September, but caught quite a few this spring and early summer. We'll see how next year goes.
  7. Looks great for $70, call me when you get the chance, 716-880-9681. I bartend after 4:00 PM and don't usually wake up until after 9:00am. Thanks again, Justin
  8. How much for the mast? And do you have any pictures? Thanks again.
  9. I have a 19' Starcraft with 2" seats. I'm looking for a planer mast that will fit in the hole for the seat. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. Last night was my first night walleye fishing this year. We only fished for 2 1/2 and walked away with 0 fish. We fished from 9-11:30pm, there was a ton of bait present but we only saw two glowing eyes in the water. We used X-raps and Originals, we will be trying agin the beginning of next week. Has anyone caught many walleye yet?
  11. Storm Warning, I am amazed to hear that you did so well on Sunday morning, it must be tough fighting all of those fish when two of your mates are chumming the water for you!!! Let me know the next time you are coming up and I will hide all of the Grey Goose from your friends. We ended up landing just over 20 and the largest was 18#. We went out again this afternoon for a few hours and only managed two.
  12. Hello John, Mermet Erk (716-631-8212) and George Haddad(716-633-1730) are the the two doctors that purchased the marina. I left a message with Dr. Erk's secretary and waiting to here back from him. Hopefully, they will be accommodating to fisherman and also look at the financial benefit of being a weigh-in station for the LOC. I hope this helps, also let me know how things work out for you. I live in Youngstown and now I'm curious.
  13. The marina in Youngstown has been sold, two doctors have bought it. As of today, the rumor is that they will be open this year as a marina similar to the way it was in the past. As the boating season approaches I am sure there will be more details available, if I can find a number I will post it as soon as possible.
