spoons on the cheaters, flasher/fly tight to the ball. 75-90 ft. down over 100-120 f.o.w. run 2.2-2.7 hit the points going north on the west side.when you find them DON'T leave them till they leave you. then start the hunt again. greens have been good but water is starting to clould up from run-off so throw some white at them. good luck and GOD bless rollie

new water pump was installed wrong, this ruined the housing and top plate? needless to say i will never let nick's marina touch my boat again.

well after two weeks and 400 dollars she's back and ready to kick some fish tails..... now if the weather will settle down

when using your sonar does a 20" fish look the same on the screen when it's 40ft. down and when it's 80ft. down. this has been an ongoing discussion between a freind and myself. i say as long as the auto depth doesn't change they will be the same size.. he says the deeper the "20 inch " fish is the bigger it shows up .......opinions please... i have been involved with fishing in one form or another for 45+ yrs. i know for a fact the susquehanna river is by far the cleanest it has ever been, floro-carbon to catch walleyes was never even dreamed of 15 years ago, now it is almost a must have because of water clarity.the same is true for the big lake. some blame the zebra but i beleive it's a combination of both, the mussels and enviromental awareness. i have a hard time beleiving that the sportfishing industry will be afected by govt. regulations, there is just too much money at stake. we all know that whether your a rep. or a dem. in office it's all about the money!! they raised the out-of-state lience to 70.00 and i don't know of anyone refussing to pay it. let the govt. do as they please till Nov. then it's time to clean the house and start again. the one term wonder that is all for change WILL be gone in 2012 and HIS changes can and will be repealled.most comments are around common sense so take your own words and use them to get this county back in the hands of the little people where it belongs. vote with your head NOT your party!! may GOD place the people back in control the way our founding fathers intended it to be. i talk with dave almost on a daily basis,my order will be shipped thur.(27 in all).. please be patient with him. the reason his spoons can catch 30 fish and still look like new is due to the highly involved process that goes into painting them, also he had issues with getting the blanks. no i don't work for him but i have a little understanding of what he goes thru to make a great spoon.also called hanifin's on my repair job. should be done for this weekend but the weather forcast does not look good(go figure!!) last years browns came off of a crank baits, run off of the otter boards with snap weights. 30FT>1oz.>120ft slower the better!!

slide divers i run no snubber, feel there is enough mono that it's not needed,switched trains of thought last year on wire divers, i now run a short snubber but set my dipsy very tight, 20# salmon will trip it but thats about it, oh the bottom will too!! pysically have to pop it when a fish is on.all my flies are retied to use double singles, i feel this eleminates the false hits (hooked in gill plate or under chin) yes it reduces the total fish to the boat but all hook ups are solid. i also feel that the shimano reels have reduced the amount of lost fish from pull-outs or broken leader. hope my boat is finished being repaired for a weekend trip!!! jason, show that spoon all you want.. the next generation will be sent to me on sat. i truley beleive that these new patterns are gonna be better than the golden walleye. boat won't be done till next week, the marina that replaced my water pump last spring messed it up. something about not having it linned up on the pin?? anyway it's gonna really cost me this time because it screwed up the housing!! wish i didn't have them do this preventitive maint. everything was fine before i took it to them. glad that i took it to some one different this time. sucks but you live and learn!! i have a 50 hp. four stroke Yamaha, there is an alarm that goes off at low idle speed(trolling) the only way to remove the beep is to shut it off and restart. called marina and they said it could be the thermostat or a sensor. my question is how hard is it to change these and where are they at!! if it is not a big deal i'll do it myself and save the shop charges. thank-you in advance and GOD bless rollie

gentelmen, if your gonna fish the fingers i would highly recomend you to get some R&R golden walleye gold cup spoons. here's the reason why... met Jason at the watkins glen launch around 11:00, headed up the west side picked a few fish up on flasher/fly with a slider(fish were on the slider) pulled the flasher/fly and ran bare spoons. these rods started to fire. pulled the dipsy rods and started to stack rods about 10 ft. apart. this is when things really got going, without a word of B.S. we had 5 fish on at the same time. many triples, tons of doubles and once in a while a single, only because the rest of the rods were on the floor!! fished the 60-80 fow range unless we were pinched to go deeper. i'm not sure on the total fish that were caught but it was a pile!! boat motor problems kept us from getting more than we did, could not troll under 3.3 mph when going with the wind due to an alarm that would go off when rpm's were dropped down. called the marina and they beleive it's a sticky themo-state or a bad sensor,anyway give dave a call and get some of these spoons, YOU WILL NOT BE SORRY, GOD bless-- rollie P.S. his web site is-----MYTACKLEBOX.COM

i'm for the closed communication with one exception....my wifey-poo gets upset when she can't reach me while i'm fishing, no she doesn't call all that often but when she does it's been a death in the family,teenager in car accident or looking for instuctions on how to put a clients trophy in the freezer(taxidermist).so.. would it be possible to have our phones on while there in the box with our home phone number recorded in case of emergancy. if this will not work i guess she'll have to get over it !! hey rod i'm ready to kick some butt !!! oh by the way i'll be fishing with LUCKY-ENUFF( that is till they throw me over board) GOD bless rollie
