I never knew a Oswego charter captain who wouldn't do whatever it takes to put fish in the cooler for clients or to win a tournament. I for one run it all. Including dodgers when the time is right...

    Tim I suppose the current is similar everywhere. .. the difference on the east end may be fishing so deep when your trying to get speed with 150' of cable out in a nasty current. But back on topic. .. diver numbers are never exact, just a starting point. I use 3 to 1 on a 2 1/2 setting on the LJ. I Start em high and work them down until they start producing. Thats why its a pleasure to fish way offshore in the summer. Current could be an issue anywhere but guys who visit from out west usually comment on how its worse.

    Tom made the right decision for the good of the whole, and thats all you could ask of him. Lesson learned for everyone, from tournament organizers to small boat owners. I for one have pleanty of boat and the conditions and safety wasn't a concern, nor did it effect our presentation as much as it did my stomach ... with that said the bigger boat didn't help land the fish, thus a poor performance on our part. I will take the combination of the poor execution of landing fish and the experience of fishing in big water for the first time in this boat, and use that as a lesson and modivation for the next event, which OTL will surely be a part of. Great job Tom and the other organizers as well as the generous sponsors. Additionally, congrats to Vince and the team for a great win!!

    I had the pleasure of fishing the entire lake tourny circuit with Tom and the Cold steel crew in the past. Tom is respected and liked from one end of the lake to the other. I have never heard a bad word spoken. In addition, he is a personal friend on n off the water. So to have his reputation smeared as if he is an arrogant winner is wrong.
