Rick... my buddy at work just put together that the newest go pro, the remote attachment and then loaded the app onto his droid. he said it works great. the amazing thing is that apparently the remote (your phone) and the camera have a 600' range between the two. So as a deer hunter looking for that perfect video you can place the camera in a desired location and remotely view it as well as control it from your tree stand. Gotta love technology. Pete ask your friend if the new GO Pro goes thru the series of beeps when you turn it on. I have held off on my purchase because a friend told me he couldnt shut the beeps off. I wanted to use it for hunting.

Best spoons for salmon
on the lam replied to gbj92's topic in Questions About Trout & Salmon Trolling?
You missed my point. I said i didn't care about the pattern, i said the size is way more important than the pattern. 2" spoons as well as 4.25" are a large part of my approach. If you don't factor those sizes in, well thats fine. [ Post made via Android ] -
Best spoons for salmon

Gill...While everyone has their favorite spoons, i think its a little misleading to say those spoons are the only thing you will need. In terms of the size. Not so much the brand or pattern. They are standard sizes, but much smaller and certainly larger spoons make up a large portion of what can be effective on any given day. IMO [ Post made via Android ] -

So the Gmen are out, but we can hold our heads high and know that we are Super Bowl champs for a few more weeks. There were a few heads hung low (me and Vince for two!) But we look forward to next year Good luck to the Skin's as our NFC East representative. Next summer we will introduce our newest group of warriors who will carry on the pride of Big Blue. My rooting interest from now on is to see the Pats lose. [ Post made via Android ]

Allow trained and approved teachers to CCW
on the lam replied to carpedium's topic in Open Lake Discussion
Tom.... the fact that a person has mental issues Is the problem for police period. They are hard to handle in terms of enforcement and prosecution. They are unpredictable and even without a gun. A knife, bat or any number of hard or edge objects become an problem. The recent tragedy's are in Ct. and NY are extreme examples of a big problem with how these people are handled and how the system works. Last week we went to a home of a 30 ish year old guy who was a gym rat. 6 ft 230 type guy. He was on the front steps of his parents home screaming at everyone who would listen. He insisted he was god. He threatened the lives of officers who had to pepper spray him just as a diversion. Then the fight was on. Needless to say he was subdued but crazy. Full restraints and off to the hospital. Thats our involvement. Security at the hospital couldn't handle him and he escaped. So now the officers he threatened to kill including the police chief were put on notice. Fortunately a few hours later he was found naked and lighting a farmers market/ nursery on fire. Point being guys like this live everywhere. He lives in a town of 23k people in one square mile. There are 6 schools in that one square mile. One a block from his home. There are thousands of weapons in those homes which he could easily steal if he doesn't have his own gun. He is the problem. Not the gun, not the knife or any other weapon. The system concerning mentally deranged people fails the public IMO. And there is no easy fix. [ Post made via Android ] -
Allow trained and approved teachers to CCW

Tom... I must say if you weren't a liberal politician in the past you should consider a future career You have all the answers that have no solutions. I can tell you that in 29 years in law enforcement the single biggest problem that i feel threatens the general public is mentally deranged people. They fall between the cracks of a court of law ( prison) and a bleeding heart mental health system that cant treat or institutionalize people who need to be off the streets.. as hard as the NRA fights for second amendment rights, the ACLU fights for mentally deranged peoples rights not to be held against their wishes. Thus back on the streets they go and in some cases they become evil. There is no easy solution, but the statement still rings true... people kill people, guns dont kill people. I give you credit for you passion... i personally agree to disagree. [ Post made via Android ]
