  1. I'm not trying to win anything Pete, just letting him know what the regulations clearly and unambiguously state. Just speaking the truth.... your usually well informed! [ Post made via Android ]
  2. Don't challenge Tim, you can't win!!! [ Post made via Android ]
  3. A four rod salmon spread is pretty simple. 2 Talora rigger rods 8'med. and 2 Talora dipsy rods 8' MH. all four could be fitted with Shimano Tekota 600 line counters for the divers, line counter or not for the rigger rods. 1000' ft. 30# wire for the divers, 20# to 30# mono for the riggers. Now if you get into spring/summer kings, spoon rods, trout rods spring/summer, leadcore, copper, mono/power pro divers you may accumulate over 40 combos
  4. I think first thing you should do is get a part time job, as this will cost $$.. there will be lots of opinions as to what to buy and how to deploy it, but the best advise I would give is spend money on a good charter in the spring and bring a pad and paper. You will be able to gather more info in one day than in any other way. As far as riggin the boat with riggers, rod holders etc., thats something that can be accomplished here, but as most will tell you rods, reels and tackle is a matter of personal prefrence as it pertains to style and brand. getting your hands on some reputable captains equiptment may shorten the learning curve. I still have stuff that I started with that I haven't touched since then! I guess its trial and error, and maybe thats half the fun. Good luck.
  5. Happy birthday Keith
  6. Welcome!! Its a great place to gather info and have some fun!!! But Just beware... There is a member (Ray K) you have to keep in mind that he is located at a, well lets say a "facility" somewhere in central NY. He will convince you that he is a a/c or a heating guy! then he claims to fish the big lake all the time with these inflated reports of fish he takes as well as this welth of knowledge about trolling. Then pretty soon he will tell us he is going to Florida for the winter!!! LMAO he sends pictures i think he gets from national geographic and claims to fish all winter before he returns.! So just amuse him as much as possible, and if you see a short bald guy running around in a orange jumpsuit or a straigh jacket near Corning NY, call the cops!!

  25. Nice post Joe, the truth is i really do know my place in society and i believe i can walk with anyone. The description of myself was a bit of a fabrication but the horse n buggy incident really happened lol I knew the topic would get a rise out of the boys and it was fun to read the comments. For the people who really know me on this board they will tell u i am the furthest thing from a redneck, but i do enjoy hanging with them whether its hunting, fishing or just banging back beers. Its all good!! [ Post made via Android ]
