  3. Any time Mark... BTW, a good thing about spending all those weekends in Fair Haven rigging is that O'connors Pub has Shock Top on draft I have to say I had my share.
  4. Well after an adventure that started last August, I finally got this boat in the water friday. I found this boat in Lake George and after having only locating this model in salt water, it was a pleasant surprise to to find a one owner, low hour fresh water boat. Had it hauled to Fair Haven (Bayside Marina) and spent 5 weekends rigging and cleaning. The only thing on the boat was a vhf radio, which is a good thing because I was able to install new electronics. Hank (L&M) did a great job installing the Furuno 585 and the 1934C radar/plotter units, and Mark Cooper (Cooper Canvas) did a great job on the canvas. I was able to put the radar to use when I ran it to Oswego on friday in thick fog. Saturday afternoon we got out (Double J and Lone Wolf Jim) and I bloodyed up the deck with some great King action and again on sunday morning. 5. As Tim said I also like to run boat at the same time targeting the same depth, but I have a tendency to only run spoons on the core and will more often run a flasher/fly on the copper. Just my feeling that the core will transfer more action to the spoon with its wet noodle action. But if the spoons are hot, the copper gets a spoon. BTW the 200 copper is one of my fav rigs for late summer/fall pre stage kings/cohos that are often rising up out of temp. a Mag spoon or a plug is what is usually on it off a walleye board at that time.
  6. Congrats on a successful trip.... It's sounds like crossing over from stripers to salmon/trout was a easy transition for ya! I guess you will be back? BTW did Jim explain how sucessful we are on blow off days on the red dock?

  17. Nice...so where was the king taken? Alaska? BC?
  18. So documented vessels have home port/hailing requirements, but state registered vessels have no such requirements as far as naming your "port" goes. So who names their port as the place where they launch/dock, or do you use your home town. I have always used my home town, but thats doesn't make sense since I have used Oswego as my seasonal "port" for many years and the boat(s) never leaves the lake. any thoughts?
  19. I'm surprised that you got checked so often. Im in and out of there all season and after one inspection they usually remember. Then after the first stop just show your inspection receipt and that will do it. See you out there. [ Post made via Android ]
  20. Happy birthday Tom, welcome to the Big 50 club
