  1. Wow stan that's crazy deep. Are there currents involved? ? Try power pro with a floro leader. No stretch. More solid hookups [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  2. Theres only five pics where you can read every letter of the A Tom Mik name on the shirt! I think from a marketing standpoint that is pretty important. Right Tom HINT HINT
  3. I stumbled on this boat and it looks very interesting. I don't know the boat or the person who is selling it, but with a kicker, rodholders and some elbow grease it could be a serious trolling machine, with a trailer. Just thought i would pass it along. http://newjersey.craigslist.org/boa/1950626522.html
  4. Ya never go to the hospital on a sunny blow off day on "Red Dock" because of a Owner 2/0 hook in the finger, ya just start drinkin!! Dr Sullivan (Goin Again) administered the anesthesia (rum) on top of quite a few beers which were needed to decide to let Jed (time off) to convince me he had done this before. This , apparently was entertaining to everyone except me video http://s54.photobucket.com/albums/g96/p ... 0044-1.flv BTW, Gray (Seasquirrel) was the camera man.
  5. The #41 caught more salmon on my boat that any other fly by far...... until this year. There is a Live series fly that may just get that same reputation in time. Sorry Dave it's not the #230 but close. BTW I love the 230
  6. Found that my motorola Droid has a navionics App for 10$ too cool. might be an inexpensive backup to my plotter

  11. 40 plus fish were taken, just not in the Derby. There's a 20k mistake. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  12. Vince, do you know if this will have a negative impact on next years teen class. On the surface i would say yes. Wonder if its a large percentage that mature under the present conditions. We had several of those mature dark Jacks last week.
  13. My Bro-in-law made his annual trip and we managed to hit a nice one. At the end of a busy am trip this guy was the last fish to hit the deck to fill the box. 34.7 sittin 10th. Draggin bottom with a down and out. 92ft in "O"town. A-Tom-Mik fly of course.
  14. Tomorrow afternoon? Hold on tight!!! Thursday West winds 10 to 20 knots becoming northwest. Scattered showers in the afternoon. Waves 4 to 6 feet. Thursday Night Northwest winds 10 to 20 knots diminishing to 5 to 15 knots. A chance of showers. Waves 4 to 6 feet subsiding to 2 to 4 feet.
  15. Riggers create the most disturbance as well, sometimes less is more. I went from 4 to 3 a few years ago on a 10.5 foot beam. This past saturday morning the rigger bite was not happening for us, active fish were down 60. I went to two riggers. 300 350 copper and 180 wires took about 10 shots to 1 on a rigger. Just an example. It does work the other way as well. When trout are in 30' or less of water I rarely run three. two or one (probe) in shallow clear conditions. The rest are cores copper and dipsys.
  16. Yesterday the two largest kings of the morning, 28 and 30.6 hit the same fly (A TOM MIK glo white green beads) that had at most 8 strands of material on it. It had to be retired after that. But I do like the fly. If the fish don't like them they will make a great christmas tree ornament
  17. Congrats Team Crazy ****
  18. Hey thats my wife on the left ya gotta buy that one I miss my Amberjack
  19. Hmmmm My globalmap gave the same error message last weekend for the first time ever. My fix was much a little different. I unplugged the puck connection to the unit and plugged it back in, who knows what that was about.
  20. Yup! Pull dark sharks every single fall trip to Olcott on a flat lined one about 200 back, especially early in the am and late in the pm. Really like a glo frog and the flat silver for that duty On 100 and 200 copper off a church board around Sept 1st. They hit them like a freight train.... love that Green glo ladder bak and bloody nose silver bullet is really all you need. IMO. Last year the coho's loved the green ladder bak on short coppers right in front of port around the week of labor day.
  21. Keep it in the water, its usefullness will become apparent in the next few weeks.
