  8. Crossbows have been legal here in NJ for a couple seasons now. I know dozens of bowhunters and only one or two ran out and replaced there compound with a crossbow. Most will tell you that if your good with your compound, you'll be no better with the crossbow. The main advantage is being able to shoot from a seated position from either shoulder like a gun, and lack of movement needed to shoot. range and accuracy are a toss up depending on your level of shooting ability with your compound. Im still shooting my Matthew's. Disabled hunters always had the ability to apply for a X bow premit in NJ.
  9. Here ya go.... Again.. You asked about Evil Eye and you were given accurate info on "Evil Eye" this is a "Evil eye" or Red Eye made by Eppinger Manufacturing, the same company that makes the "Daredevil" This is the lure you asked about and was accurately described by Holy Mackeral as to its usefullness for trout and salmon This is a "Daredevil" or Red devil which I believe is a favorite for pike and musky fisherman. two different lures.
  10. First thanks for your time replying But you never answered my questions (( Quote )) was told Evel eye / Redeye Lures were awsome for catching Browns, Steel / Rainbow and lake trout as well salmon Is this True ??? I grew up knowing these lures were great for Northern, Muskie fishing Can they be used for trout / salmon if so why don't more charters use them ? enlighten me please Thanks If you were already (told) that they are (awesome) for catching why are you asking again??? He just said he has caught kings, coho's and browns and was specific about the color and speed! go run them and find out.
  11. The RED dock will take on a whole new meaning if this punk(s) shows up this week. I promise not to shoot, I don't want to risk hitting a bottle of tequila or rum. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  12. A few inches of skinned cable shouldn't cause such a problem. Try looking at a grounding problem or a ineffective terminal connection. Also if u added a new electronic device that also could be the culprit. Particularly an AP. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  13. I don't want to speak for the person who's fish it was, he is a LOU member and will address it if he wants. I just dont want to see bad info circulating about that fish. It was a brown no doubt.
  14. NJ fish n game used to stock them along with other trout in streams n lakes in the 70's n 80's. Problem was when the water got low in the summer they became easy targets in streams. Kool looking fish. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  17. So sorry for your loss Vince. Prayers sent.
  18. Generally that sounds like a grounding problem. Had it with my raider, and I know guys who described the same thing with the moor as you and found a bad ground or interference with another unit (AP) usually.
