    Can someone recommend a canvas guy that is mobile? the boat will be in the water in Oswego through late sept. and then into storage. No way to deliver it to a shop. I have delt with Accent Awnings from Minetto, but was looking for another option.

    Pretty much as Ray said.too many variables to be exact i feel, depth, current, coated/non coated cable 10 # ball or a 20# shark? all different answers. when u have time run your rigger out 100 in 110 and head in until you hit bottom at trolling speed. that will give you a pretty good idea.

    The Scottys releases tend to loose their "grip" after a few years, I have replaced more than a few, are the ones you are using new??

    whatever brand u use, strongly consider 2X (strong). standard hooks tend to straighten from time to time lead to lost fish. I try to use Owner short shank #2. the same as Tom uses on his tourny ties.
