  1. Running large slasher type flashers I've been messing around a little with running the large slasher flashers with meat rigs on divers and copper off the boards. Got a couple simple questions: If they have starboard printed on them I'm assuming that means starboard as you are facing the bow. Also what happens if you run a starboard slasher on the port side- do they actually work towards the boat potentially causing tangles? Last but not least if the tail points to starboard doesn't that mean it should be deployed on the port side? Thanks
  2. Wow. Bummer man. I'll keep my eyes peeled too!
  3. Oak 7/23 Fished 140-200. Temp was down around 100. Action seemed slower than reports from last week. Spoons took our fish. Did not mark a lot of bait or fish.
  4. Well we are going to be there Sat/Sun so hopefully the effect will not be felt on Sat and the wind is not supposed to blow real hard (waves 1<) so maybe the effect will be minimal.
  5. East wind at the end of the week for the Oak What do you guys figure the effect of the ENE 11kt wind for Saturday will be on the fishing at Oak Orchard?
  6. Oswego 7-16 Launched at Oswego because we could not get out at Port Bay due to the flooding. Didn't have any real idea where to go since I've never launched at Oswego before. Fish seemed scattered with a spoon bite for us. Zeroed in on an area in front of the stacks with a strong current & some bait in 200, temp down 100 to 120. Just kept passing through it and we'd get 1 every third or 4th pass through the waypoints.
  7. Looks fairly extensive, but I didn't look at surface temp back a few days ago http://www.coastwatch.msu.edu/ontario/o2.html
  8. How far east is the lake affected by the upwelling?
  9. Are the two riggers you have left fixed boom or adjustable?

  14. Yeah, we've had good catches on the browns by turning at the Fort and trolling the American side shoreline.
  15. Anyone have any luck jigging Lakers this time of year near the Bar. Planning to take a swipe at the Kings in the lower river and would like to have a backup plan if this warm up holds on.I can also throw some trolling gear from the Islander into the little boat but was hoping for something different.
  16. Alas no 800, it's a 600 copper I got from Tommy Allen back in the day. When a king hits it though everybody dives for the front of the boat.
  17. Let's go up to Skinny in the Little boat and flat line it w/ streamers on some whippy ML 8's, my arms are killing me!
