  1. That's a genuine smile though! Great pic & nice going.
  2. I marked a lot of lakers locked up deep with the bait in 200 FOW, pretty typical pattern in years past for March
  3. Launched out of Myers at 9:30, found color and 53 deg. down past the salt plant. Worked the skinny water and had action on stix off the boards and spoons on the riggers but they were all shorts. Hit the west side-same story till I hit cold water and then nothing. Went back to the east side trying different depths but still came up with shorts. Super nice day out just couldn't connect with the class of fish I wanted.
  4. Good to see you are back at it! Thanks for the intel. Hoping to get over to the lake today.
  5. Found some nice browns just outside a bit of warm, stained water east of Maxwell.
  6. Went West, looking for warm water or color and not finding it yet. Maybe something just of Boiler pt. Gonna turn and scope it out.
  7. http://weather.weatherbug.com/NY/Sodus%20Point-weather/weather-cams/local-cams.html Looks Ok to me. Planning on Sunday...
  8. What speeds were you running?
  9. Got a bunch, fit and finish is 2cd to none. High quality paint job for sure.
  10. Not going to get out of the Coast Guard launch today I guess...
  11. Shooting for Severne then! Weather looks not too bad after we get the canvas up! CAN'T WAIT ANOTHER MINUTE...
  12. SOB!!! Jeez, good thing I read the last few lines....I was thinking about getting home and hitching up. Rats!!
  13. Positive updates,anybody?
  14. It is my sense that the atlantic stocking program in LO has some issues in terms of it's rate of return on investment. For what I assume is a number of factors, the atlantics do not seem to compete well in LO and from what i understand the number of sizable adults/ stocked juveniles is lower than for the pacific salmonids. Even in the fingerlakes, where the atlantics are not competing with pacifics, the number of sizable adults seems low compared with the number of juvenile class fish. Perhaps someone with some fisheries knowledge will chime in on this thread but I have always assumed that the atlantics grow slower than the laketrout in the fingers and the kings in LO. I am thinking that this is why we don't see the stocking program for the atlantics work like other stocking programs.
  15. I killed some more brain cells this morning laying up another set of fiberglass and resin on a seat cowl mold for a café racer build. I'm finding this kind of work has a calming Zen to it with the additional side benefit that I'm less and less aware of this winter (and pretty much everything else) each day.
  16. I think this one of those "If you have to ask you can't afford it" deals...
  17. You guy's clearly need to get out more often (LOL)
  18. Thanks for pointing that out Paul! OK, so I just dumped my 1st 100 bucks into the pot for the 2015 season. Oranges looks good, the Cindy looks good, and I like that 'referee' pattern. hopefully the fish will agree...
  19. When you hook up with spring kings in skinny water they often blast right out of the water, so you know what you're dealing with. No matter what they do, on our boat, we clear the rods and just fight that fish.
