  1. I've got the new probe with the 840 monitor. No problems.
  2. I'm pretty sure I couldn't show you a darn thing about fishing all that mid lake east side structure Ed! Last time I hit that area I 'contributed' at least one ball and a couple spoons to the Seneca God's.
  3. Keep on rockin' Ed. Nice job! -Andy
  4. Alas, I will need to be at the plant on Sat, so it is with deep regrets that team chowder must bow out. Good luck to all!
  5. These Fingerlakes Tackle spoons are obviously high quality stuff. Paint job is outstanding, can't wait to get em in the water!
  6. Wound up fishing solo today. Fish mood seemed negative. Took a bunch of skippers and 2 teenagers on the riggers as well as 1 brown and one big ol laker. 2 kings again on the 400' copper carbon 14 mag and 1 steely on the steely dan ss off the 5 color. Got bumpy and ugly. All fish released at the side of the boat including 1 teenage king who ripped off my green hornet spoon just as I almost had it out (SOB!!). Doesn't look promising for tomorrow, we'll just have to see...Cooking up a big baked fish dish with new potatoes, green beans and sweet corn for family & guests which is making me thirsty for these 'Farmer's Tan' Sothern Tier IPA's I just picked up- gotta go!
  7. Nice assortment of Kings, Browns , and Steel out of the Oak today. Fish seemed scattered from 60 to 250 FOW, 40 to 100 down. Only consistent producer was 400' copper + carbon 14 mag which took 4 fish. Only 1 on the wires today.Couple on the riggers,1 on 8 color, 1 on 10 color. Back at it tomorrow.
  8. Thought I saw your boat at LP! Noticed there didn't seem to be any rods in view & figured it must just be a look alike.
  9. We didn't get anything over 3 lbs for lakers last weekend. Couldn't figure it out. But they were pretty tasty
  10. Hey guys we could accommodate another angler on our fully rigged Islander, particularly if they know anything about Otisco and or walleye fishing, about which I know very little.
  11. Too many posts to wade through- are we still on for July 19? -Andy
  12. I'll be fishing Oak/Olcott alone Sunday 7-13 and Monday 7-14. Looking for somebody to fish with me in my Islander those 2 days. -Andy
  13. Thanks for the report & nice job on the kings. Time to get back fishing from the sounds of it!
  14. Nice! Should have gone to LO today by the sounds of it. Thanks for the report.
  15. Launched out of Long Pt. Hit Sheldrake Pt and AES, 50-180 FOW w/ riggers at 30/40/60 + 8 & 10 colors on the boards, various spoons. No really consistent pattern for us but greenish rigger spoons took some fish (lakers & browns and a few short salmon) and core and colored stuff did not. Trolled back to LP from AES pulling a 400 copper down the chute with a NBK Mag, E-chip spoon which took several lakers. Wires w/ FF combos took a couple fish when we crossed the lake but nothing on the way back. Never felt like I really knew what I was doing but super nice day to be out!
  16. Yeah, all right, got swept up & got some spoons from FLX Tackle and a few custom flashers from Salmon Candy. Will attempt to give a somewhat objective report. The spoons were all pairs to run as MUPS or sliders, & the flashers we're theoretically early am material so we'll see what gives on that. Gotta love summer. Later. -Andy
  17. Nice! ... touche guys, balls in your court. As for us , we're fishing cayuga tomorrow- i don't go in for hero worship (LOL) -Andy
  18. I'm talking about Pine Grove. Never launched at the lighthouse & not sure I want to.
  19. Mine is an I/O with a 4 stroke kicker. As Hank at L&M has said " there's enough gear in that boat for 10 rigs" so my boat is heavy and counter weighted in the nose so it sits down in the water. Never had a real problem at PO launch. Like older launch's everywhere it has a few quirks but as long as you don't back in off the concrete you should be fine. The right side has a lop sided hump as you come out but I didn't think it was real bad to deal with. Take it slow 1st time in/out and I can't see why you would have a real problem. That being said don't do anything you don't want to do. I'm a farmer and I'm used to taking chances with everything everyday so what seems ok to me might not be your cup of tea. Remember, this is supposed to be fun so don't turn it into work! -Andy
  20. I've put mine in there many times, no need to go all the way to mexico pt.
