  1. Thanks, for the help with the 3 vs 2. Still unclear on the Di - here is the product description from Hodgesmarine: Depth Capability: 125 ft(DI) 400 ft(DI-455kHz)1500 ft, 3500 ft* & 5000 ft* Second frequency needed past 125’? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Humminbird Solix 10 Chirp Mega Si Gps Combo - Looking at one of these, also see g2, but noticed some of the other birds have a g3 option. Is the g2 the latest? Looks like the DI only goes to 125'? How is the picture below 125'? Thanks, Dave
  3. Funny how a single question can have so many answers depending on perspective. I was just thinking from "bite to boat" fighting action. I will take any of them right about now!
  4. Thanks Mike, I figure as much but wanted to ask anyway. Wishful thinking. If you think of it, just glance over every few days........:) Thanks, Dave
  5. +1 w/darkwater, and add 20 minutes to your reel time as well. Much bigger smile with kings.... Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Good Day, anyone drive past the launch , outlet east fork lately? Just asking for an ice out report. Coming up from PA, trying to schedule boat launch. Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. FYI...I have one installed on the port side, but no kicker. The unit is still pretty close to the turbulence from the main (115hp). Starboard side has a 50/200 transducer, no issue with that either.
  8. Good Day, I am in need to install a boat lift hoist this year due to health issues. I have an RGC 4000 hoist. Does anyone have any advise on what type battery paired with a solar charger would be appropriate? I have a fairly new deep cycle I wouldn't mind using, but not sure that is correct, cranking? What wattage on the solar charger? Research shows many options, but also says a very large panel may be needed. For sizing purposes I am saying the boat is completely lifted/lowered out of the water twice a day. Partially lifted 2 or 3 times a day. There will be a week of charging time followed by a week of usage. Thanks, Dave
  9. The 20 foot PRO V soft top looks very nice from Hewescraft. $$$ ??
  10. All great feedback, and thanks to everyone for taking the time to respond. The more I get into, the more I am thinking of spending the $$$. This will most likely be my last boat investment (maybe). BW and GW seem to come up every time I look closer. I am happy with my 18 now, just need more room after 10 years of gathering equipment. Thinking the glass will provide a better over all ride the aluminum. Will continue to look.....thanks!
  11. Thanks CK3080, nice set up. I will check a few out.Thank you for the pictures, always helpful. I can't believe the Striper CC needs 35 inches of water to float. How can that be?
  12. Thanks, I just checked out the 20', has a 35" draft. That won't work for me. My dock is in skinny water. Nice boat though.
  13. As the snow flies, my mind drifts to a question on a dual console. I have been looking for awhile now, and nothing jumps out to me that I can afford! Recommendations on a fiberglass dual console boat that can be set up for trolling in and around the 21' range? Dave
  14. Took me awhile to find this answer. Looks like the 150d has a rpm control that takes it down to 650. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Looking at a new 150hp. My current Mercury has electronic troll control. I can get idle down to 800rpm. Does Yamaha have anything like this? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  16. This is interesting! Thanks! Just checking on options with GW. Appreciate your time. Dave
  17. Good Day, Anyone ever put a kicker on one of these beauties? I found tech spec that shows 4mph at 1000rpm. Not going to work for trolling. Dave
  18. Anyone purchase these seats? Looking to replace my two in my Crestliner. Hard to tell via pictures/descriptions, so I thought I would ask the forum. Thanks, Dave
  19. Thank you Sir!
  20. Good Day, Perfect time to get my shimano's done. I have had them for ten seasons now, they are due. Anyone have Tuna Toms info? I seem to be having trouble fining contact numbers/address/web. Thanks all, Dave
