Everything I've heard is plenty of in-active fish in 120-200 fow.Active fish are out deeper(250-400fow) and a little more scattered.Scattered but hungry.Should be good soon,once the shallower fish turn on.

In close to shore,near tribs,colored water.Should be in shallow.Run stick baits of boards.

Dude.That is awesome. We really are some lucky fisherman having this type of fishery around

Had that performed on me at the docks in Oswego a couple years ago. Hook from a Howie Fly was VERY deep in my hand after I slipped on some lamprey slime and grabbed onto the hook on my way down. Worked like a charm and saved me time and money not having to go the ER Also got us right back on the water for a pretty good limit.

I haven't gotten a line wet since I drilled a hole thru the ice. Trying to figure out what to do this weekend. Small boat on Oneida or big boat out of Oswego. Hard not to get out the big boat when I see pics of the big fish being pulled out this season. I know it has slowed.But how is the action overall?Still decent or a struggle?

Lots of of them in oneida.good fighters and believe it or not.good eating.ive kept the last few Ive caught after someone at work gave me some to eat.

We fished out of the little salmon on Tuesday. Went 11 for 12. 6 coho.4 kings and a BROWN trout. Marked all kinds of fish once we hit about 35 fow. Looked like plenty of coho judging by the size of the marks. Fished between 50 - 60 fow. Down 45-55 feet

We fished north end yesterday.Didn't get out until about 10am.Had the cold water hose shooting out water under the bathroom sink . Set up in about 60' of water at the north end ledge.Fished down to deans cove and back again.Never moved a rod.Tried 60' out to around 200 fow. So some marks but couldn't get a bite. Weird,10 years ago we started trolling Cayuga and did well until we started fishing Ontario instead.Now we have moved back to fishing Cayuga for the last 2 years and I am having no luck at all.Have only been out 3 times this year but have had only 1 hit.I was having a problem with speed. Yesterday I ran 2 drift socks so I know my speed should have been good(we were between 2.0 and 1.4).Still a big goose egg.

Nice report.We had the opposite outcome.Wife and I left Hibiscus Marina around 8am. Set up on the north end ledge.Trolled down toward long point and then back up.Didn't move a rod. Marked a few here and there but not much and nothing schooled other than a few bait pods between 40 and 90 feet.Was our shakedown cruise with our "new to us" boat.First twin screw boat and at 27' the longest we've had.Was just nice to be out on the water.Beautiful day to boot.

I did those things also.Of course I did it before I was told to.Liked all but the urine.

Hey Sean.On your web-site.Photo 6142,is that a walleye on the right?I know you will get a stray walleye once in a blue moon on Cayuga.Looks like you were fishing near Taughannock.Never heard of one being caught near there before.

I had one buried deep a couple years ago fishing out of Oswego.Slipped on the slime left by a lamprey I took off a king.On my way down to the deck I grabbed onto a rod with an a-tom-mik fly on it.Every time I moved the hook,my pinky would move.It was really deep in the side of my hand.I actually let I guy at the dock,that I didn't know,do the press on the shank and yank method.Hurt like a bastard for a few minutes but worked like a charm.Not sure where the hook ended up.Thing went flying into the water.Went back out on the water and had a decent day fishing.Beat spending the day at the ER.Thinking back though,I think the ER would have been a better choice.To this day I've got a dead area on the side of my hand.Definitely did some nerve damage.

Also fished today.South end from about 6:30am - 1:00pm.Caught many short LL and one short brown.All down around 25' over pretty much all depths.Then dropped the riggers down 80 and 100' over 130 FOW.Caught one nice laker and had another nice fish on that got away with my spoon.Trolled back to shallower water and caught a few more short LL down 30 to 40' over 40 - 60 FOW.Black & white silver spoon did most of the damage.Speed was 1 - 2 mph.

Fished south end May 1 from about 6am to 11:30am.Hooked 3 salmon.2 short one keeper.All on the east side.The 2 short ones on a small stickbait straight back about 8' down over 20 FOW.The keeper I got jigging with a jig red jig head with a swim bait.That one was over 120 FOW.Marked a lot of fish in 120-140 FOW.From about 40 - 140 feet down.

I haven't fished it yet this year but a friend of mine got a couple really nice browns out of Ithaca this morning.Just out of the inlet,near the wall.I'm going to try Sunday morning also.Got rid of my big boat last year so I only have the 16' crestliner.So it is going to depend on how the wind is.Hope it's not too bad.

Where are you putting your boat in?There are a couple of bays on the south shore that have good to great fishing.Sodus Bay,little Sodus Bay & Irondequoit Bay to mention a few.
